About Me

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Okay, sup? How you doing? Good! But you're probably here to know about me. I'm Sophie and I'm 15, grade 9, Asian, bla bla bla. I like a lot of stuff! Like books, music, MOVIES (if you want to know which ones, just go down to the bottom)! I want to be a director when I grow up, sooooo fun!! And I've got lots of friends, well, not lots, but a fair bit. People call me hard-working, or just a nerd. I am a nerd, a hard-core nerd, you got a problem with that? Good. I'm also just hard-core, I mean, I've got people's backs, I fight for what I believe in, I say what's on my mind, I don't sway with the crowd. Yeah, anything else? If you have any more questions (Which you probably don't, because you probably know me in real life, and you'll know that Sophie Tribiani doesn't exit, at least I hope I didn't steal someone else's name o.O....) Just read some of my posts, I've got lots!

City songs

You know sometimes they make songs for cities for like special occasions? Like right now in Shanghai for the World Gala thing? They made one for China or Taiwan, or somewhere I forgot. But since I'm sort of into Korean songs, I stumbled upon a song of Seoul, the capital of South Korea, and it's really cute, I love it! It's soooo nice. I'm beginning to get really Asian right now (Should've happened a long time ago, considering how I am Asian!!), and I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not. I'm Asian, yes, but I grew up with a bunch of white kids, and I've always repelled Asian stuff, and since we're in Canada, I think my parents sort of helped me with that too, giving me not much Asian influence. I feel a little weird, but you've got to be open to different things, right??

Lionsgate City, in the Matt Cruse series by Kenneth Oppel. Matt never goes home, or he does and there's just a small description of it, but in Starclimber, the third book I'm on right now, is really reminding me of Vancouver. There's a Kitsilano, and they used to live in Gastown, and the downtown has a Burrard Inlet, IT'S SOOOO WEIRD. I love this city, I really should include it in my stories too. Also, on Wikianswers, they think Lionsgate City is an incriory of Vancouver, and that's just awesome. You never see Canadian cities in big time books, only ones that are local and like ethnic or something. Like look at the big books, Percy Jackson, New York, Mortal Instruments, New York, Twilight, Forks (well, I guess that's a small place, really small, but still American!!). Well, whatever, I love New York, and I want my characters to travel around the world, but Tyler and Annie are going to make many stops in Vancouver, no problem!

Quote of the day:
"Nephilim: Facilis Decendus Averni since 1234
Clary: What does that mean?
Jace: It means 'Shadowhunters, looking better in black than the widows of our enemies since 1234.'
Brother Jeremiah: It means 'The decent to hell is easy'
Jace: Well, that's no fun."
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

I'm not sure if that's the exact words, but it's close enough. HA!! That's a quote I'll never forget!!
