Extentions Lesson 6
Situation #1
How was Leilani proactive or reactive?
She was proactive because she didn't look at how her teacher didn't give enough time for the report, instead she looked at how it was her fault and decided to fix it.
Situation #2
How was Karl proactive or reactive?
Karl was reactive because he blamed the weather for stopping them from having fun, then complained the whole day about something he couldn't control.
Situation #3
How was Brittany proactive or reactive?
Brittany was proactive because she decided she thought about what she wanted and instead of complaining about not getting the part, she decided to comtribute in different ways, in the end haveing more fun.
Reflections
At home, when is your family highly reactive? How can you help each other be more proactive?
We always blame stuff on others and we don't really think about if it is our fault. Only on occasion we do. I think we should start to think about others a little more and think about how we can change the problem instead of letting the others clean the mess we made.
My usual blog: I've never been that sporty kind of person, I've always liked to curl up for a book. But I do like playing sports at times. Like today, I went to the basketball open gym. Only Winnie and I went, and all we did was dribbling and faking out other people, we barely had time for a game. And somehow I got the impression that they think I'm really bad at basketball. Looks like I'm not getting into the team, then.
Quote of the day:
"A lifetime of training for just ten seconds." Jesse Owens
I know that I've already used his quotes, but he just reminds me of one of my favourite books, the Book Thief. One of the characters that I really like loved this guy, he even coloured himself in coal and pretended to be Jesse Owens. That boy died in the end, so sad.
About Me
- Sophie Tribiani
- Toronto, Ontario, Canada
- Okay, sup? How you doing? Good! But you're probably here to know about me. I'm Sophie and I'm 15, grade 9, Asian, bla bla bla. I like a lot of stuff! Like books, music, MOVIES (if you want to know which ones, just go down to the bottom)! I want to be a director when I grow up, sooooo fun!! And I've got lots of friends, well, not lots, but a fair bit. People call me hard-working, or just a nerd. I am a nerd, a hard-core nerd, you got a problem with that? Good. I'm also just hard-core, I mean, I've got people's backs, I fight for what I believe in, I say what's on my mind, I don't sway with the crowd. Yeah, anything else? If you have any more questions (Which you probably don't, because you probably know me in real life, and you'll know that Sophie Tribiani doesn't exit, at least I hope I didn't steal someone else's name o.O....) Just read some of my posts, I've got lots!
