Okay, it's a mini-series, which, in books, are a series of chapters of a short book. It's about this girl, who, in the book, her name is never given, she's just referred to as subject 9. She was a normal highschool girl, almost graduated, when she witnessed a murder of some sort at her school. She's then put into the protection of an organisation call Blackwater, a sub-division of an US intelligence agency. The witness she viewed was the murder of the head of the another sub-division of the opposing US intelligence agency, Counterfile. They've been enemies for a long time, these sub-divisions, all operating outside of the CIA's control, they are like insurance for the US government, and they specialize in training agents from birth. However, it wasn't Blackwater's agents who killed the head of Counterfile, but someone else, and both divisions are afraid of a third organisation that they've never heard about, so they try to get their hands on the only witness. Blackwater's found Subject 9, and they need to help her remember who it was that killed the head. After post-tramatic shock, however, it seemed like there is nothing that she can give. But Blackwater isn't done with her yet, they gave their case to one of their top rated intelligence workers and told him to train her so that she will become one of them. His name is Agent J. And so begins the constant chase for Subject 9 as she goes on mission after mission to train to become more aware, to find clues, to blend into the crowd, to fight, to protect herself, and ultimately to snoop around as an agent should. But Subject 9 has her own dirty little secret, and she's getting her own revenge. The series is called Witness.
It's okay, I mean, I've wanted to do something like this before, and now as a fan of Castle, these mystery FBI stuff is really getting to my head. I've wanted to do a band called the Athena League, which are a band of rebellious teens whose parents work for intelligence, and ultimately they get their hands dirty being their own intelligence agency.
It's crazy, I know.
Pic of the day:
Eventually, they'll be doing this!!!!!
