About Me

Okay, sup? How you doing? Good! But you're probably here to know about me. I'm Sophie and I'm 15, grade 9, Asian, bla bla bla. I like a lot of stuff! Like books, music, MOVIES (if you want to know which ones, just go down to the bottom)! I want to be a director when I grow up, sooooo fun!! And I've got lots of friends, well, not lots, but a fair bit. People call me hard-working, or just a nerd. I am a nerd, a hard-core nerd, you got a problem with that? Good. I'm also just hard-core, I mean, I've got people's backs, I fight for what I believe in, I say what's on my mind, I don't sway with the crowd. Yeah, anything else? If you have any more questions (Which you probably don't, because you probably know me in real life, and you'll know that Sophie Tribiani doesn't exit, at least I hope I didn't steal someone else's name o.O....) Just read some of my posts, I've got lots!

Stories and Life

I think I'm in a philosophical state of mind today, so I'll talk about why stories are so important to life.

Either expressed in a movie, a TV show, or a book, and story can make you understand more about yourself. I know, big turn, but let me explain. When you experience a story in one of those, or other, methods, you are exposing yourself to see the world in someone else's eyes. In this life time, we only get to be ourselves, only get to wake up, to feel, to eat, to do whatever we ourselves do. But through a story of someone else's life, you can go into their point of view, and that's almost like defying the universe because it only gave you this one life to experience, but you can actually experience many from just hearing a story. As well, when you hear a story, you'll get a initial feeling, and that feeling is usually from the point of view of which you are getting the story from, so like a poor Afghan kid, sad, Snow White singing to her birds, happy. This way, you get to learn more about yourself because you get to see what your actual responses are to many different situations.

So how do you love stories? Simple, if you like to understand others, to create your own worlds with characters that you can see through, if you like to experience life in someone else's shoes, e.i. go to war, do drugs, shoot a gun, all the thrill rides without actually having to be in danger, well, then, you love stories already.

Stories are the real innovation of life, it's just whether or not you're ready to share yours. But when you are, the whole world's listening.
