About Me

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Okay, sup? How you doing? Good! But you're probably here to know about me. I'm Sophie and I'm 15, grade 9, Asian, bla bla bla. I like a lot of stuff! Like books, music, MOVIES (if you want to know which ones, just go down to the bottom)! I want to be a director when I grow up, sooooo fun!! And I've got lots of friends, well, not lots, but a fair bit. People call me hard-working, or just a nerd. I am a nerd, a hard-core nerd, you got a problem with that? Good. I'm also just hard-core, I mean, I've got people's backs, I fight for what I believe in, I say what's on my mind, I don't sway with the crowd. Yeah, anything else? If you have any more questions (Which you probably don't, because you probably know me in real life, and you'll know that Sophie Tribiani doesn't exit, at least I hope I didn't steal someone else's name o.O....) Just read some of my posts, I've got lots!

DONE!!!

OMG, that was sooooo close!! I was this close to not getting my price, or the certificate for Script Frenzy, which would have been horrible!! Apparently you're supposed to validate your word count with a PDF file, and for the last hour, my parents (because they're soo cool for wanting to help me!!) and I were stressing over how to make a pdf file, since apparently on my computer, you can't just "save as pdf file", which is so stupid! So, after sooooo long of trying to figure it out, I just called my friend, Eric Wang, from elementry that I actually saw when I went back to school today, he saved me by saving the screenplay on his computer and saved it as a pdf file, and then sent it back to me!! He is sooooo awesome for doing so!! And so now, because of him, I get my certificate and icon that you see at the side of the page, proof that I did Script Frenzy 2010, or else, it would be just as if I didn't even do it!!

Quote of the day:

Excert

KK, so as I leave, now, my screenplay into the editing process and say goodbye to the constructing one, and bed a final farewell with an excert, one of my favourite scenes of it, to give you an idea of the epicness of the film. (Also this is for Nancy, who apparently will only read it if I put excerts on my blog)

Enjoy!!!

Hephaestus is lead into the Grand Hall and he stops abruptly and looks around. Athena and Aphrodite sits in their thrones, which are beside each others, and Zeus is standing in the middle of the U shape made by the thrones, looking at Hera, who looks like she’s been crying for a while, and Ares is still beside her, holding her hand. Hephaestus’ eye stops at Aphrodite. Then we switch to Aphrodite and Athena’s view.

APHRODITE
(Whispers to Athena)
He doesn’t look that bad, does he?

ATHENA
Laughs
You are so naive.

Aphrodite turns to Athena with a shocked expression. But they turn back to Hephaestus soon after wards. Then every one turns to look at him, and the two girls smile, Aphrodite sweetly and Athena amusingly. Ares looks at him murderously, but Hera just looks relieved. Then Zeus smiles and walks over.

...

ZEUS
This matter doesn’t concern you, so unless you want to confess some dangerous affair, I suggest you keep quiet.

Aphrodite’s and Ares’ mouth closes at the same time and they exchange a horrified look.

ZEUS
So? Is it a deal?

HEPHAESTUS
(Looking from Aphrodite to Ares, then back)
If she tells me two thing.

ZEUS
Alright, ask away.

HEPHAESTUS
(turns to Aphrodite)
Number one, do you currently have a lover.

APHRODITE
(Looks at Ares, then takes a sigh and pauses)
No.
(Ares looks surprised)

HEPHAESTUS
Second, do you want me as a husband? I won’t take you unwillingly.

APHRODITE
(Looks at Hera)

89 Flashback to scene 83

Hestia is talking to Zeus with Dionysus between them, and every one else in their thrones.

HESTIA
(In a distant voice)
Nothing is fair, but you have to know when to step down. Don’t worry; I don’t do well with politics and such any way. I’m the big sister and I must do what’s right to keep peace, we all must keep peace.

90 Flashback to scene 76

Hestia is dragging Aphrodite out of the grand hall with Hera, Zeus, and Metis behind them.

HESTIA
It’s much more than a triangle. A marriage isn’t fool-proof.

91 Flashback

Zeus is pacing in the grand hall and is talking with Poseidon.

ZEUS
Perhaps we can marry her off to Hephaestus, he poses no threat, he is weak.

92 Inside Olympian palace Grand Hall Day

Aphrodite looks at Hephaestus a little longer.

ZEUS
Well?

Aphrodite gets up and walks to Hephaestus.

AHPRODITE
Yes.

Hephaestus sighs of relief and hugs Aphrodite, who looks over his shoulder to see Ares look down angrily at Hera’s hand.

ZEUS
So? A deal is a deal.

HEPHAESTUS
Yes, (To Hera) All you have to do is stand now… Mother.

Hera stands up slowly and gasps in relief and surprise. Then looks at Hephaestus, and almost cries.

HERA
You are not expected to call me that again, but I do prefer it.

HEPHAESTUS
(Nods, then looks down at Aphrodite, who gives him a kiss on the cheek)
It’s all worth it in the end.

Give Me Da Beat

Well, there you go, I'm going to the Give Me Da Beat concert, I'm performing. Wish me luck!! Well, because I'm going there and I just realized that we still have homework, little but still. OMG, so I'll keep this really short.

Hey, remind me to talk about cross-book pairings tomorrow, kk? Like Percy and Clary, Percy and Hermoine, Clary and Harry, that kind of stuff, kk? KK.

List of good movies

You know, sometimes people say that you are an expert on something, and then they ask you for advice, and you just can't seem to give any on the spot, at the top of your head? That's what happened to me today. Jonathan made this list of good and bad movies and TV shows, a piece of cake, right? But I had no ideas right at the top of my head except for the usual ones!! And then when I was sitting doing my math test, thousands of ideas came to mind that I couldn't even concentrate on the last question!! So frustrated!!

Lesson 28

Extensions and Reflections

Extensions Lesson 28
1) Work out a "want" list with someone else for an agreement that you're trying to reach with someone. Then, make a list of possible "third alternative" solutions that would be good for both parties.

Their "want" list
To get a say in the project, to give input that will be done.
To understand what is going on with the project.
To get a good grade.

My "want" list
For others to help with the project.
For them to work on some stuff.
For them to explain what they want and work on it instead of just give criticism.
To get other's ideas.

Their "don't want" list
To work on the project too much.
To be excluded from the group.
To not be listened to.

My "don't want" list
To do all the work.
Let others do nothing.

Third alternatives
If you put in criticism and requests, then you have to work to get it changed to your way.

Reflections
Are there any unresolved issues in your home that could use some synergy? Walk through the steps to synergy or see if you can come to a solution that makes everyone happy.

My problem is actually close to Nettie's, except I would never be out that late and my parents will totally spazz if I get home after like 7 pm. I think I should be a little more independent, walk to school in the mornings without them following me half way. Going to a party without them driving, even if they can drive. Dress my way, even if it doesn't suit their taste. Let me do my homework and when sad, don't discourage me even more. Let me bus to more places more often rather than for them to worry about me all the time. Nettie gets to go home alone at midnight, and I can barely walk on Granville at 4pm without them calling to check up. Then again, if you look at other Asian parents, I've got the whole world!

My usual blog: UHH!! Soooo mad at myself!!! We had a science test today, and it just went absolutely horrible. I'm already certain that I got three wrong, and it's like such easy things that I missed on the textbook, I really need to read the textbook more carefully!! I totally failed!!

Musicals

Since we're going to the opera very soon, I thought I went back to listening to some of the old musicals I used to. I forgot how much I loved Annie and Les Mis. They really are sooooo good!!! I really miss them! I've seen both of the movies too, and they are really good too. I need to get back to my homework though, I've sutdied really hard and done all my homework, but I feel like I can do a little more. Oh well.

Awe, we had a funny dance to this one.

City of Bones

Today I went to IndigoSpirit and bought City of Bones, and it felt soooo good in my hands to know that it's not a library copy and has that new book smell, and I was smiling so hard when I bought it that the cashier asked me if I was okay, I replied that I slept with a hanger in my mouth, and she laughed. But the copy is not for me, it's for Vivian as a thank you present for driving me like everywhere, to and from PNE and to and from the opera, and for already driving me to and from the science fair. Also, I sort of didn't give her anything on her birthday, so I owe her. But it just felt good to buy City of Bones, and I bet it'll be even better when I see the look on her face when she gets it!! (Or sees this, darn it)

Old friends

Today I went back to my old school and hanged out with some old friends that now go to Ideal and Maggie, and it was just really great to be with them again. This guy named Eric that I've known since I was 7, and his voice changed (he used to have a really squeaky voice, like a girl) and he got taller (he used to be really short), but he is still the same weird little boy that I've always known. And my friends at Ideal were late because they were in a rally to save their school, because the VBS are cutting mini schools, and it's so them to go. And we talked about Percy Jackson and old fun stuff, and I really noticed how much I miss them.

Good song: Say no, by Beast, Korean, but still. It's about a guy who was dumped by his girlfriend, and now his best friend wants to date her and he has to act like he's okay with it and gives him advice, and it's soooo sad and soooooooooo sweet!!!!

Cool Homework

Today, we had two main pieces of homework, and to my surprise, I actually am excited about both of them. One is an essay (Yes, I know, someone should seriously slap some sense into me) about the three dominent reasons in our life to live for. I said stories (books, movies, yeah, hello!!), love and happiness (We are happy to love and we love to be happy), and the experience of life (I want to take that backpacking trip to Europe!!), and I find that I'm really looking forward to writing it on Monday. The second thing is designing a coat-of-arms and moto for Socials, which I find really fun, because it's all about European history, which I love!!! Okay, and the other wondorous thing is that we get to use a Latin Moto!! That's so cool!!! Can't wait to find one that's awesome and dark and Christianized and everything!! It's weird how I'm not Christian but I find the stories in the Bible and the clergy very interesting and dark and mysterious and really cool!!

Quote of the day:
"Through me is the way into the woeful city; through me is the way into eternal woe; through me is the way among the lost people. Justice moved my lofty maker: the divine Power, the supreme Wisdom and the primal Love made me. Before me were no things created, unless eternal, and I eternal last. Leave every hope, ye who enter!" Dante's Infero

Yeah, I know a thing or two about the Bible!!!

Shelfari

In case you haven't noticed my new gadgets at the bottom of the page, I've added this thing called Shelfari. And it's sort of like a half forum half Google Books thing, and it's really great because you can organise the books you've read, your favourites, ones you are reading right now, ones you want to read, and you get to join groups and have friends like on facebook, but all about books. Plus they have a lot of information on the author, or the book, or other books like it. So it's really cool, and Churchill's library has an account, did you know that? That's cool.

Also, you've seen that I have a count down, to what might I be counting down?? Well, I'm one of the lots of people who are waiting for the next book out by Cassandra Clare, the only writer who writes about Shadowhunters!!! I'm counting down to the release date of Clockwork Angel, which is the first book in the Infernal Devices series, which is a prequel, set in the 1800s, to the Mortal Instruments, set in modern times. It's about this girl, Tessa, whose brother is missing and she goes to the London Institute of the Nephilim to find help for her brother, then falls in love with Jem and Will, gets turned into a Downworlder, and a lot more crazy cool stuff!! Can't wait!!!!

Hey, check out my slideshow, I didn't know you can search stuff up and it'll show all the pics related to what you searched up, like the video bar, but apparently you can. So guess what I searched up??!!! Yeah I know!! And if you don't know what I'm talking about, then...

Extensions and Reflections

Extensions Lesson 27

CRITICIZING: is not needed in Synergy actions
COMPLAINING: is definitely not needed, we should think of a solution to the problem instead of complaining about it
COMPARING: is okay because we can compare things that we think up, maybe one is better than the other
COMPETING: is not needed, we work as a group, and there should be no competing

Reflection

Choose a recent decision you and your family made that had everyone's input. Did you synergize or compromise?

It's actually really small, but sometimes we would watch a movie together (my parents are huge movie fans, you can get where I got my interests from), and we all brainstormed on what we wanted to watch, and sure enough, we decided on Die Hard 2, which every one was really happy about.

Pro D Day

Okay, so today I wrote a little more and is now on page 88 of the 100 I'm supposed to do this month. Boy, am I speeding through it. Then again, I'm not sure if it makes any sense what so ever, so if you like me and don't want to see me fall flat on my face, please let me send it to you so you can read it to make sure it makes sense and give feedback? Oh, just to tell you, because I'm on Script Frenzy, my work is copyrighted, and you can't copywrite it (Get it?? Copyright and Copywrite, okay, stop with the lame jokes, dude), but you can help me change spelling and grammar mistakes. Yay. Well, all I ask is for you to enjoy my work, so please, please, help me!!!

Quote of the day:

To not cause a war, dear brother.
(Walks to face Zeus)
You have done well, but you don’t see the conflicts between us. Someone must yield in order for this young boy to be an Olympian, that that person shall be me." Greekology by Jessica Yang

This is the scene where Hestia gives up her place in Olympus to Dionysus, because if she doesn't, there will be 13 Olympians and that's not a good number and they'll all fight over who will leave. Just quoted my own screenplay, I'm so cheesy!!!!

60s Movies

Just watched the old Ben Hur and Cleopatra, which are both really actually funny and like you know how movies were back then, there wasn't much special effects, so it was all talking. And not talking in usual manners, but like really, really, cheesy talk. And when there is actual battle and stuff like that, it's so cheesy and fake as well. I just say that because I hate Elizabeth Taylor, and I don't have much of a particular reason as to why I hate her. And Ben Hur is okay, but still, I watched the Ben Hur Miniseries from this year on CBC last week, and it was absolutely awesome, gave me a horrible impression on the original. And, oh wait, apparently they did an animated version in 2003, which is even weirder. But here's the trailer for the miniseries, and I really like it. It's not in theatres, no duh, and you'll have to try and catch it on TV, which is hard because I think they already played it. But here's the trailer any way:

Prezi

OMG, just finished using this presentation helper site thingy called prezi and it's really pretty awesome, so I got to say thanks to Mr Zhang for introducing it. It was really cool, and it took like no time at all and you were able to see everything on one canvas, which was really good because that sort of gave you a good idea of what you have on your presentation. I was doing it for the Launcher presentation, which awkwardly enough I don't even know if we're allowed that or not.

Hey, just a random heads up, do you know this guy named Jason Bourne?? Yeah, Matt Damon, Jason Bourne, the Bourne Identity guy, soooo cool!! There's three books and three movies from those books right? No apparently not, all I thought was that there was going to be another movie, which is totally fine with me, but apparently there's two book already out, sequels to the trilogy, not even by it's author, Robert Ludlum!! Shocker huh? It's called the Bourne Betrayal and the Bourne Sanction, weird, huh?

Quote of the day:
"Actresses are cheap in this town - and I got a lot of money." Leonardo DiCaprio in The Aviator

Watched it again today, it's one of his okay movies that just gives you the chills but you can't say it's bad, those kinds of movies, it was still good, though.

Socials Test

Huh, today we had the Socials test, I think I got like five wrongs or something, so I'm a little depressed, but I think it'll all be alright.

I went back to my old school and one of my friends has this book talk that she wants to do on the Red Necklace, which is like one of my favourite books. It's funny because I was just talking about it in my journal because the book's on the French Revolution, and we're studying the Marriage of Figaro, which Mozart wrote around the time of the French Revolution. But anyways (Which funny enough isn't proper grammar), she wanted my help, because I'm so awesome and I knew a lot about the book. It's about this gypsy named Yann Margoza and a aristocratic girl named Sido, and Yann goes to London and gets educated, but goes back to Paris to save Sido from this evil guy named Count Kalliovski. It's a really good book, and I recommend it to every one, of all ages.

Oh, I love this quote, wonderful.

Complicated Story

So, as you all know, or maybe only some of you know, I'm doing Script Frenzy, and that's writing a 100 paged script in the month of April, and I've been making pretty good progress. I'm already at page 61, and that's a lot more than the average right now. But what I'm worried about is that my story is going to be too long and too complicated for normal people to get. See, if you're into Greek Mythology, and you know the stories about the Twelve Olympians, then maybe you'll get it. But if you don't, then you won't get it. It's so complicated that it's hard for me to even write it. I mean, I have to include the twelve Titans and the Twelve Olympians stories in there, and it seems pretty easy, but then you realize how putting all of their stories into one story is the hardest thing in the world. Especially the second generation!! See, Hephaestus helped with Athena's birth, so Hephaestus comes before Athena, but Dionysus helps get Hephaestus back to Olympus, which means Dionysus and Hephaestus are around the same age, then we've got Hermes, stealing from Apollo, which means Apollo and Artemis comes before Hermes, but it's soooo compliceted!! Okay, so here's this part of my plot.

Zeus meets Leto, knocks her up
Hera has Hephaestus and throws him down Mount Olympian
Zeus brings Leto home, Hera exiles her, she gives birth to Apollo and Artemis
Zeus brings them back to Olympus
Ares, born and starts fighting in the war
Hermes, born and steals from Apollo
Hephaestus makes a throne for Hera, which she couldn't get out of
Dionysus, bumps Hestia out and goes to fetch Hephaestus
Athena, Metis is eaten, Zeus gets help from Hephaestus, gets Athena out
Last battle with Cronus
Asks Leto to join Olympus, but she refuses.

Get it?

Tests

Today we had a Science test, and I had no idea that sodium chloride was salt!! There was this one question that was like:

What is two main solids dissolved in the ocean?
A: bla bla bla
B: bla bla bla
C: sodium and magnesium
D: sodium and chloride

And I chose C because I had no idea, I just guessed!! I thought chloride was something to do with chlorine, which I thought was not good if there was so much in the ocean, so I put magnesium. But I was wrong!!!!! I should really learn to remember the Periodic Table of Elements sometimes!! But besides that, I'm pretty confident of my test.

We also played Jeopardy in Socials to get us ready for our test on Friday. It was great, though I really thought it was torturous having to sit with my team and not be able to help my teammate, who was representing our group. Like I knew the answers, but I couldn't tell them what it was, so it was like "NOOO, you know this, you know this, I know this, come on!!! Allan!! (What) Come on!!!!"

Quote of the day:
"Follow your heart, but be quiet for a while first. Ask questions, then feel the answer. Learn to trust your heart." Unknown

Yeah, because my heart can tell Allan what a Palisade and moat is. "T_T

Extensions and reflections

Extensions Lesson 26

1) Write down an important issue that you, your community, your school, or your family is facing right now. Maybe it's bullying at school, a dress code, or a community issue.

Issue/problem:
I can't think of any real big issues right at the moment, but one small thing to start with is that the cafeteria food in the cafeteria is too expensive. Ever since I started buying lunch, I've noticed myself being broke most of the time and having the money for the rest of the time (you get what I mean?) and after doing the math, I realized that all of the money is going into lunch!! I mean, a burger for $3.75?? Come on! And then if you say that, then some people will be like "Go to the Dogpound and get a pizza" but in case you forgot, pizza is $2.25, and it's for a tiny piece. I say we should have cheaper food, yeah!

Organize a group of four or five people to discuss the issue you chose. Individually, think of ways to improve or change the problem.

1. Fill in the thought bubbles below with the different solutions each of you come up with.

1. Less staff, the food cost includes the service from the staff, well, maybe we can get more volunteers at lunch so we don't need as many payed staff.
2. Cheaper food, if it's hard and expensive to make (ex. Haitian rice, baked chicken, stake...) then don't make it, get more simple, yet filling foods for less.
3. Lower the cost, just lower it, forget about profit or whatever, the lower your cost is, the more people you'll get.
4. Shut it down, don't tempt us, okay?

2. Use your imagination to brainstorm new ideas.

I think the best idea we have is the cheaper foods thing, would you like to have a filling sandwich or a tiny morcel of cavear each for the same price??

3. Together decide which solution will make the biggest difference. Write your group's idea in the solution box

I think the best idea will be the cheaper food, no more fancy stuff that doesn't get us full, we are all growing, get us a hardcore lunch!

Reflection
Is there anyone in your extended family that you could get along with better? What can you do to start making things better between the two of you?

My cousins, all of them. One reason is because I haven't had any contact with them with them in the last 7 years, and I've always had the idea of how evil they were. They're three boys who are all older than I am, and all of them are pretty mean. I think I should on some cases get in touch with them, if my parents allows it of course, they say my cousins are back influences. But I think if I actually got to know my cousins now, after we've all been children, I think I could get along with them better.

My usual blog:
SO MUCH TO DO!!!!

Hey, just on another great note, I started following Rick Riordan's blog today. He's the author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Apparently he's working on another Camp Half-Blood series, and it'll have old characters from the Percy Jackson series and new ones, which is like the coolest thing ever!! And it's coming out in the fall!! Which is really close compared to the Mortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices (Which, BTW, is still my favourite books, but Percy Jackson is definitely second up), which are coming out in August, the Infernal Devices, and City of Fallen Angels isn't coming out until March next year, so I have to wait forever on that one!!

Quote of the day:
"Men don't consume pink beverages, now be gone woman, and get me something brown" The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

Ha, never gets old.

SOO MUCH HOMEWORK

It's really like the teachers are becoming real evil, because today we got so much homework!! Not only do we have a Science Quiz (and when I mean quiz, I don't mean a small, not-important quiz, I mean it might as well be a test) on Wednesday, but also a Socials test (By test, I really mean HUGE BUTT test for this one) on Friday, we also have a story board due on Friday for Marriage of Figaro, cut up into only about 15 boxes, how do you fit that huge Opera into 15 boxes??? And we get a vocab test on that day too!! And most of the words I have never heard of in my life!! YAY!! And at least give us a weekend to work on it, nope, it's all weeknights, which just makes everything so tiring!!

Quote of the day:
"Jumping out a window five hundred feet aboveground is not usually my idea of fun. Especially when I'm wearing bronze wings and flapping my arms like a duck." Rick Riordan, the Battle of the Labyrinth

Hey, I just want to end on a nice note here.

Script Frenzy

53 pages, and counting, I'm writing like crazy today, so here's an exert:

51 Outside Beach Day

Zeus stands at the beach, looking out at the ocean. He’s looking at a wave, pushing two people towards shore. When they get there, one is Poseidon, the other is a beautiful girl with a light pink dress and curly brown hair.

ZEUS
(To Poseidon)
Brother, you called?

POSEIDON
Yes, I need you to see to this. I found her on the shores of Kythira, off the coast of Greece, in a sea shell. It wasn’t until I begged on my knees that she found the mercy to put on her clothes. It’s hard to look at her without temptation, even now.

ZEUS
Yes, well, (to girl) can you tell us about yourself?

GIRL
My name is Aphrodite, thank you very much. And I was formed from the sea foam, caused by Uranus’ blood, from his genitals, from…

ZEUS
Yes, we know the story.

APHRODITE
Well, here I am!
ZEUS
(to Poseidon)
We can’t just leave her, we need people on our side rather than the Titans, don’t you think?

POSEIDON
Then you bring her to the palace, I don’t want to be responsible for a revolt from the ladies, especially Hera.

ZEUS
Right.

Poseidon dives into the sea, leaving Zeus and Aphrodite looking after him. Then Aphrodite’s attention goes to Zeus.

APHRODITE
I presume there is another girl in your heart besides this Hera character.

ZEUS
(Looking surprised)
I think you presumption is wrong.

APHRODITE
No, I see it, you will have many lovers in your day, as does the other ones. Only a few will swear to forever virginity, the idiots, and Hera, forever dwelling on the perfect family that she’ll never bed another man but you.

ZEUS
How do you know?

APHRODITE
Love it my thing, it interests me. I hear you needed a goddess of love, well, here I am!

ZEUS
Right, well, just as long as you make no trouble. You will be considered second generation Olympian, though you seem to be older than all of us, and you will be married off to the least threatening of the group.

APHRODITE
Sounds fine, just don’t expect me to love only one man.

ZEUS
Not going to.

Zeus walks away from the shore and towards Mount Olympus, with Aphrodite at his heels.

THE LAST OLYMPIAN!!

OMG!! I have the Last Olympian!! It's soooo good that I was barely about to stop to actually do my homework today!! But I did it, an overachiever, as usual, yeah, the world's not upside down yet. But it's sooooo good!! I'm at the final battle, and it's so fast going and every thing. But the bad thing is that I can't say anything on here because, Tiffany, who reads this blog, will be really mad at me if I said spoilers on here, and it'll just ruin the books for her. But I sort of want to get back at her for liking Luke and Annabeth together (which you won't understand if you haven't read the books) But even if you haven't read the books, I can tell you one thing, Annabeth and Percy are meant to be, not Luke and Annabeth, no, Percy, Percy, PERCY!!! I can't believe her!!

Quote of the day:
"Grover: [holding up the Medusa head] Guys, I cannot pee with her watching!
[the passing maid sees the head, screams, and runs off]
Annabeth: We better leave before Homeland Security shows up."
Percy Jackson and the Olympians the Lightning Thief, Movie

LOLZ, I love that scene, and here the other one.

"Annabeth: [seeing cleaning men] Alright guys, I'll take this one. [takes out crossbow]
Grover: Annabeth, you can't kill these guys, hey, they're working class Americans!"

Yeah, like that'll change Annabeth's mind.

New Block rotation

LOLZ, it's funny how I didn't capitalize rotation when I already did new and block. I've been picking out these stuff lately because of Script frenzy, and that's a good thing, I get to slowly get better at editing. I HATE EDITING!! When I see someone else's work, I think it's perfect and I couldn't take a part out even if it meant my life!! As for my own work, I would start and it'll slowly turn into a rewrite of my whole story!! It's actually really sad that I can edit at all. But whatever, I'm just happy that I'm at 40 pages and it's not even the 10th yet. I'm really speeding through the script. See? I told you that this will be so much easier than NaNo, I mean, I'm just at the part where Zeus is about to give the mixture that will enable Cronus to spit out his children. If you don't get Greek Mythology, then my screenplay would make absolutely no sense to you.

Quote of the day:
"If the writing is honest it cannot be separated from the man who wrote it." Tennessee Williams

"Which famous author shares his name with an American State?" Jeopardy

LOLZ, that's like one of the only questions I got right from watching Jeopardy, it's hard to keep up with that show!!

SOOO TIRED

I'm so tired!! We did a random four lap run on the oval in PE today, and we were timed, and I totally failed!! Plus, it was freaking raining and we all got so wet. Now the world's freezing, and my head feels dizzy, and I just got out of a cold, so this is not good!! Also, I totally forgot my French text book, and I know I can do it tomorrow, but if you know me even a little bit, you know I like stuff done on the day it came out. So I'll make this a short post today, I've been doing too much long ones these days any way.

Quote of the day:
"You must never underestimate the power of the eyebrow." Jack Black

"I have respect for beer." Russel Crowe

Woah, sticking to movies here, aren't we? Okay, Jack Black, of course you cannot! And Russel Crowe, who doesn't. Happy birthday!!

Percy Jackson

Wow, you know sometimes you go to the library and your friend tells you to read this book that you've seen on the shelves and no one seems to even know it exits. And when you actually get into the series and wants that book, but someone borrowed it and it's not there?? That happened to me!! I've seen the Last Olympian in the library for like forever and every seems to have already finished the series and I just look at it and be like "I'll get it when I finish Battle of the Labyrinth", and now that I have, it's not there!! I'm so frustrated!! SO FRUSTRATED!!

Any way, sorry for yesterday, but I feel much better. What? You didn't read it? oh, well okay, I'll fill you in then, it's about...

Beep, you do not want to hear this either, beep.

Any way, I searched up BitTorrent, and apparently I have to download this software to open the movies I download, so I'll get back to it later. I want to make trailers for random from other movie's clips!!

Watched Ben Hur miniseries on CBC with my mom on Sunday, and now I sort of can't wait for the next part. Hey, Ben Hur was boring in 1959, but this new version is really cool, check it out:
http://flixchatter.wordpress.com/2010/02/01/upcoming-flix-spotlight-ben-hur-tv-miniseries/

Oh, just to end the last note on Percy Jackson, I went on the site for the books and there were actually these awesome trivias and games, I got perfect on the trivia, and now I can't wait to play the other games!!

Quote of the day:
"ALLISON!!!" Nancy Lin

Happy birthday, Nana.

Writing

Last day of the longest weekend in the whole year!! Yay... Any way, I've been very busy, finishing Battle of the Labyrinth (SOOOO GOOD) and writing for Script frenzy. Which reminds me, I have the link for my profile on Script Frenzy if you want to check it out, but I'm not 100 % sure that it can work, but anyways, here you go: http://www.scriptfrenzy.org/eng/user/547923 I have noticed that I can write a lot faster than I did before. Then again, how much faster can I get, I finished one screenplay of 126 pages in 2 weeks time last summer. Not to brag... But today I finished like 10 pages in a breeze, I'm not tired or anything, and I took a lot of brakes. But my eyes are tired now, so it's a sign that I should stop.

Speaking of the brakes, you know how I totally love Percy Jackson right? So I checked out some of the old movies of the actors in the movie. Logan Lerman (Percy) has been in pretty funny, but really weird films before, like Meet Bill. I totally forgot he was in Hoot! I loved that book! Any way, I found out that Brandon T Jackson (Grover) was in the Tooth Fairy and is going to be in Lottery Ticket, with Bow Wow (Arf). But the weirdest of all, I found out that Alexandra Daddario (Annabeth) was in a lot of scary movies. I mean, like a lot. Some of her roles were in TV series, and you can never find those episodes, trust me, I've tried with Hillary Swank and Growing Pains, up to this day, I have never seen her in it, and yet every one says she was!! So those roles were gone, that left movies. And then she had a lot of movies where is was "Pretty Girl" or "Nick's girlfriend" or bla bla bla. And since I was too lazy to search some where other than Wiki, I only got like three of her movies, not including Percy Jackson. I watched the trailer of every one, which wasn't a good idea. The first one, she wasn't in the trailer, and the movie was about girls posing as babysitters, but actually running a prostitution system. It's called the Babysitters. Then there was this freaky movie (remember, just freaky) called the Attic, and she was in a little bit of the trailer, but you could barely see her face. She was a victim of some kinda killing, so she was bloody and running in the trailer. It was about these people moving into a haunted house, sort of, and she was killed a long time ago and she's trying to get out of the attic, I think. Then the last one freaked me out the most. It was like a full on scary movie, and in that one she was like a main character, so you could see her throughout the trailer. She was like a girl living with her dad, whom she hated, and every day she jogged past this creepy old house, and there's this boy in the window. In the beginning of the trailer, the boy was kidnapped by this scary guy. And then the trailer turns intense, it shows all these girls being tortured and hung from hooks and screaming and locked in rooms, and it just scared the heck out of me. And then Annabeth (I call her that because her name is too long, and she will forever be Annabeth in my brain) tries to help these girls, I think. But my point is that I'm still getting the scared gut feeling, and I hate that feeling!! I hate it! It gives me chills and sends my imagination wild, which is not good, considering I'm a writer and I can think of pretty weird stuff to scare myself. What's scary about it is that this actually happens. People get tortured and kidnapped. I mean, I hate like vampire scary movies too, but there's a part of me that will always be like "Okay, it's not real, it will never happen" but these movies are like "It can happen" and it's not like One Missed Call where people have to target you or you have to be an important person in the White House, this can happen to any one, especially girls, and I'm a girl, and, yeah. So I just need to tell someone this, and it makes me feel better than if I held it in, see? I feel better already. Thanks for listening to me while I ranted on, but I had to in order to let it out and be free with it. I'm still scared, and I still have that gut feeling, but I think I can manage, thanks again!!

Quote of the day:
"Being alone is scarier than any boogey man and the reason why I don't choose to see Horror movies as a rule." Tom Sizemore

Thank you! See? I don't understand people who can watch scary movies and get scared at night. And this is why I don't like clowns or dolls, when I was seven, I watched Chucky because I thought I can handle it, and throughout the night, I continued to imagine Chucky in my room, and I never liked dolls since. As for clowns...........

Beep, Jessica is being very annoying at the moment, I insure you that you would not enjoy listening to what she has to say after this, please leave a message and she can get back to you on Tuesday when her brain stops it constant cycle of amassment of horror and madness, thank you and have a nice day. Beep.

NO POWER!!

Yesterday I had no power at like 8:30 and it was really freaky. Our whole block didn't get power, so that was a little comforting, to know that it's not only your problem. Any way, it's because of all that wind!! Gosh, Zeus is mad these days. Or would it be Poseidon, because he's the earth shaker, and wind shakes the earth...

Oh well, my head is in Greek Mythology because of Greekology and everything. I'm on page 16 now, I'm like speeding through it! The Titans part is taking longer than I thought, but it's all okay! I can manage! I'm like far from the daily goal the site tells me I need, and I haven't even really tried to write so much, I only do that on Sundays. But Monday is Easter Monday, so I've got that day too, so I'll be way ahead, not worried at all!

OMG, so addicted to "shock" by Beast, the song is sooooo good!

Quote of the day:
"I loved "Clueless." That was one of my favorite movies of all time." Amanda Bynes

Sticking to movies, right? Happy birthday!

"If I don't die in a plane crash or something, this country has a rare opportunity to watch a great talent grow." Eddie Murphy

Him too? He's not Ellen funny, but still, better than certain others. Happy birthday!

First day of Screenplay

Well, not really, considering how I started like a day ago or something. But since I'm really sick, and I'm in no mood to talk about my "wonderful" day, here's the first exert from my screenplay, it's called Greekology!! Enjoy!!

8 Inside Hyperion’s Palace Day
Three kids run around the house, one boy and two girls. All of them are around ten to twelve. One of the girls is pulling on the other girl’s hair, trying to comb it. She is wearing a bright peach chiton and her skin glows. The other girl is screaming. She wears a pale white, grayish, tunic and her skin is sickly pale.
GIRL #1
Stop it!! You’re hurting me!! Mother!

GIRL #2
It’s your monstrous hair, sister, you wanted me to help.

GIRL #1
Well, now I don’t, I want mother to help me, MOTHER!!

GIRL #2
Mean, that’s what you are, a heartfelt aid thrown in the trash!

GIRL #1
MOTHER!!

The boy runs around, looking under tables and chairs. He goes to the girls and lifts their feet to see what is under them.

GIRL #2
Stop that, Helios, what are you looking for?

HELIOS
Something very important for father. (Shouting) I think the wood nymph took it!!

He gets up and puts his hands on his hips. He looked around still, confused and panting hard.

GIRL #1
You’ll never find it if you just remain standing there like a statue.

HELIOS
Oh, be quiet, Eos, I’ve been searching a fair bit, what are you doing?

EOS
Getting Selene ready for her audience with Cronus, they’re going to see how helpful she is in the plan.

SELENE
It’s not just me, why are you not getting ready yourself.

EOS
Because I’m forever gorgeous, and you are far from it, we have to help the needy, don’t we.

SELENE
Hey!!

EOS
Am I wrong? Now hold still!

Eos goes back to pulling Selene’s hair to straighten it and Selene continues to wince. Helios looks around himself once more and then gets to his hands and knees and crawled to search the floor. Then after a while, a women with a bright yellow peplos on comes into the room and looks worried. She first looks around the room as if she is also looking for something. Then she crouches down and looks under and over the furniture.

WOMAN
When was the last time you saw it, Helios?

HELIOS
(Continues searching)
I know answers to many questions.

WOMAN
And?

HELIOS
That is a question I will have to get back to you on.

WOMAN
This is no time for jokes, Helios, we have to find it!

SELENE
Help me mother, Eos will turn me into her if she keeps this up, and that is the most horrifying thing for a girl, you know.

EOS
HEY! That’s where you’re wrong, see…

WOMAN
Daughters, please, cannot you see I am in a hectic state right now and is in no mood to help you.

SELENE
But Mother…
WOMAN
Eos, let your sister get ready for herself, and you need to dress more appropriately, the light blue green chiton should do it.

EOS
But mother, I’m not done with Selene…

WOMAN
No more, do you understand?

EOS
Alright.

SELENE
(fixing her hair)
What is it you are looking for any way, Mother?

WOMAN
Something very important for the meeting tonight, something both your father and Cronus needs right now. You know your father’s old helmet and sword?

EOS
Yes.

WOMAN
Well, it’s the exact replica of that.

SELENE
Then how is it important?

WOMAN
It makes your father look better, it’s the set that Cronus gave him after all, does not work, but perhaps seeing it will make Cronus favour your father in the chaos that is to come. And when such turmoil is about to be released, you would want to be favoured to live.

HELIOS
And that’s why we need to look for it!!

Both Selene and Eos joins the search, all of them looking under tables and in cupboards, etc.
