About Me

My photo
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Okay, sup? How you doing? Good! But you're probably here to know about me. I'm Sophie and I'm 15, grade 9, Asian, bla bla bla. I like a lot of stuff! Like books, music, MOVIES (if you want to know which ones, just go down to the bottom)! I want to be a director when I grow up, sooooo fun!! And I've got lots of friends, well, not lots, but a fair bit. People call me hard-working, or just a nerd. I am a nerd, a hard-core nerd, you got a problem with that? Good. I'm also just hard-core, I mean, I've got people's backs, I fight for what I believe in, I say what's on my mind, I don't sway with the crowd. Yeah, anything else? If you have any more questions (Which you probably don't, because you probably know me in real life, and you'll know that Sophie Tribiani doesn't exit, at least I hope I didn't steal someone else's name o.O....) Just read some of my posts, I've got lots!

Not a bad day, not a good day

Well, this morning we had a vocabulary test with words we weren't even supposed to study! I got pretty bad on it, 5/14, but that's alright, I'll work on my vocabulary, it was always my weak spot. But then we watched a little bit of A Wrinkle In Time the movie, and I really wanted to see it, so I got a little happier. Also, Jamie, Laurie and I started plotting for a Percy Jackson fanfic, that will have the setting of VANCOUVER!! And Asian half-bloods and really hyper daughters of Iris, and don't forget flying cats!! That cheered me up too. Also, I got perfect on two Socials tests, so that made me even happier!! So I guess I'm all better now, just got a lot of stuff to do.

Quote of the day:
"Ross: Your money's mine, Green.
Rachel: Your fly's open, Geller.
...
Rachel: You lost the game, and I got your money, and your fly's undone (Ross looks) ha, I made you look."
Friends

Haha.

A wrinkle in time

I'm like half way through A Wrinkle In Time now, and I really like it. Now I'm just waiting to watch the movie in English, cause I saw it's trailer and some tributes to it on Youtube, and it looks really interesting. I love Meg and Calvin, if any one's read it, they're soooo cute!!

Quote of the day:
"Life is like a box of chocolates, you're never know what your going to get." Forrest Gump

I love that movie, but I'm having some unsettling thoughts about life that I've had for quite some time now. I always feel like if I can get things done earlier, then I would have time to have fun later, that's why I finish my homework so early. And I feel like life is going by too fast, and I know I'm only 14, but I feel like I should have accomplished something by now. I feel like I'm just wasting my time!! But I don't know if I have anything better to do! Then I get all these big thoughts like "What am I going to do with my life?" or "What is the purpose of me being here?" and "What will happen when I grow old and every one I care about dies?" See?? IT'S DEPRESSING!!

Study

Don't get me wrong, I like cramming my head with information, it's just that it's sooooo frustrating to study for finals!!! UH!! I always feel like I should know and remember things I've learned at the beginning of the year, but I don't!! And now I'm having a hard time remembering it again! You know what's worse? This big rock over my head that I put myself, and you know what's even worse? Me not being able to get rid of it!! It's like I know the stuff, and I want to know, but it seems like I don't know it, so there's this threatening rock on top of my head, and I can't cut the string!! But I can't take it away either. And every single time I sit down to watch TV or do something that doesn't involve getting ready for finals, it's like "Why aren't you studying? Why aren't you studying?" UH!! I'm going to be talking to myself soon!! At least Sophie's (The other side of my head) is quiet.
I heard my name!
UHHHHHH!!

Quote of the day:
"Patience, jackass, Patience." Mr Sale's coach

Hey, it was the only thing that came to mind.

WOW

WOW!! Today, it's like the news are only about freak shows!! In the morning, I heard about this guy who went hunting for a dear, and then the dear started chasing it out of the forest!! Then, a boy who made his school project on roller coasters, he actually made a roller coaster in his backyard! And then there was this lightning that struck an old church almost to pieces!! And there were couple of others that were bizarre, but I can't remember now.

Quote of the day:
"It is the addition of strangeness to beauty that constitutes the romantic character in art." Walter Hagen

Huh.

Reflections

Reflections Lesson 32 (since there's no Extensions)

What concept or weekly lesson has your family most benefited from? Reflect on how it has been good for you and your family relationships.

I think we really got better at the communication thing, I mean we actually listen to each other now. I think it's a big step because we've had less misunderstandings and more win win situations since we understand each other much better. Also, I've noticed every one getting more sleep and doing less work, relaxing at times when it's good to relax. I think that also made us a lot less crankier.

My usual blog:
AHHH!! Today we did Langara run, and now I'm sooo tired. Also, I had the oratoricals right after it, and I went first, and it was raining, so I was all wet and tired. Plus, the worst thing is that I got cut off because Ms Greskiw had told us the speech was supposed to be 3-5 min, so you couldn't have less than 3 minutes. But today, they stopped you at 3 minutes, so mine was longer, and I didn't get to finish! Ah well, I got a certificate, and it's over, so I'm just happy about that.

Quote of the day:
"A real loser is someone who's so afraid of not winning he doesn't even try." Little Miss Sunshine

OHHH!! I love that movie, I watched it a while ago, and it's just so bizzare and sweet, and you know how I always say that we don't have enough non-sense in the world? HERE IT IS!!!!

Grad Orchestra

Today after school was the awesome Grad Orchestra, and it sounded just magnificent!!! I loved it!! Well, I can barely play the songs, but still, we've got this Broadway song, Pirates of the Carribbean, and my favourite, almost the whole movie score, TITANIC!!!! KK, I got to go early today, got a lot of stuff to do!! I've got Socials to study, A Wrinkle in Time to finish, and to practice the pieces for Grad Orchestra!! KK, bye bye.

Quote of the day:
"You can't kill them!! Hey, their working-class Americans!" Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief movie

HAHA, Grover to Annabeth, yeah like that's going to stop her!

the other half of the story

Hey, here's the other half of the story, hope you like, cause I do, and I actually really want Mr Sale to read it, don't know why, oh well, right, story:

Terror grips her throat as she turns her fourth corner only to find the same scenery put in front of her. She has lost all direction and any hope of gaining them. She then makes a right and runs straight into a Flagellant. She screams in surprise. The whole line of Flagellants stops and peers over each other’s shoulders to see her. The girl moves back only to hit a wall.

“May God be with you.”

She is not sure if the man in front of her had spoken or if she had truly out of her mind. The men walk silently past her. The girl sees the man at the back, not a man, but a smaller figure about her height. A boy, she thinks, there truly is no mercy in this world. The boy looks at her through the holes in his hood as he passes her.

After a little while of only hearing her own breath, she wakes from her hypnotic state and races down the street, this time knowing where to go.

At the house of the only physician still alive in town, the girl bangs the door desperately with her small fist. The door opens to reveal a man in a bird costume. He has on gauntlets and a white robe, and at the end of his beak that is attached to his mask, the girl hears him take a deep breath. “This… way,” she says in a whisper.

She can not remember running down the street with the bird-doctor behind her, but somehow both of them are now in the only room of her house. She approaches the bed in the corner slowly, dreading what she will see. Lying there was a dead figure of what used to be someone she talked with in the middle of the night, someone she rolled down the hill with, someone she shared dinner with. “Brother?” she asks.

“May he find salvation in the heavenly place” the physician begins his prayer, but the girl no longer heard him. She collapses on the floor. Tears roll down her cheeks, and she trembles with sadness, but not a weep could escape her lips now. There is no one left to hear it, so why bother. A tingle occurred on her hands, and she brings them up to see what have caused it. On her hands were red patches. She screams.

“God is not here any more.”

Intro to my new short

Ring a ring of roses
A pocket full of posies
Ashes Ashes
We all fall down

“Some one help!!! Some one? Please!!” She runs out of the house, seeking salvation in the empty streets. Her sandals’ sound on the pavement is the only noise around. “PLEASE!! I NEED HELP!!”

Nothing. No sound, no voice, no reassurance. A spot on the map wiped out just like most of the others. The girl abruptly stops, breathing heavily. What is she doing? Is there really no one left to help her? Just then, a chorus of footsteps approaches her way, and for a moment, she is glad. Some one to help me carry my burden, she thinks to herself. But the moment she takes a step towards the noise, she realizes that no salvation comes this easily. She starts running the other way, thinking it could be Death just around the corner.

KK, this is for Socials, sort of, about the Black Death, now all I have to do is get Mr Sale to read it.

Lesson 30

LessonWorkBookQuizExtensionsFamily ReflectionsGet Go
30DoneDoneDoneDoneDone

Extensions and Reflections

Extensions Lesson 30

Read the following story and respond on the lines below how this story can be related to keeping ourselves fit in all areas of life.

You are walking through the woods one day and come upon a lumberjack who's furiously working at cutting fallen trees into logs. You notice that he's having a very difficult time of it. It seems to you that the chain on his chainsaw has become so dull that the saw barely cuts at all.
You ask him why he doesn't sharpen his chain. He replies, "I've got to get these logs cut. I can't take the time to sharpen my saw."
The man didn't realize that if he'd just taken a few minutes to sharpen his tool, cutting through the tree trunks would have required much less of his time and energy.

We're so caught up in all the things we need to do in life that we don't stress the things that we actually have to do in order to do the things that we think are important. If he just took a little time sharpening his saw, or if Kyra just slept a little more and just relaxed a bit, then they would both find it easier to get their tasks done. (Oooops, I think this is for Jamie, Nancy, Laurie and me...)

Reflections
What does your family do to renew and refresh the health of your relationships? Plan an outing or a family fun night.

Oh, within the family, I don't think we need any work on that. We have a movie night every Friday, the schedule is planned out. First, I go back to my old school and my parents go to the library or think of where we want to go. Then at about 5 or 6 o'clock, they pick me up to go out for dinner, or we cook something special, and we either watch a movie online or rent it. But usually we have to vote on movies, and we promise to watch the others next week, but there's so many in the list right now that I don't know if we'll be able to get through all of them. You can see where I get my passion for movies.

Sports Day

Today was the Laurier Sports day, right? And a lot of people just weren't there at school because of it. I wonder if I can go to my school's Sports day, but when I thought that my parents will be okay with me missing my first classes in the whole year, they totally spazzed. What's worse is that they always say, you have a choice, uh, no I don't because I know you don't want me to go!! You have a choice, usually when someone says that and they have an opinion on something, they mean you should choose what they think it's right. Oh well.

Sooo much to do!! I have to continue writing, and I want to write another speech to represent our class in the speech thing, so that will take time to write and remember, and to practice, a lot!! And I have to study for finals too, I know it's a long time before actual finals, but apparently according to my parents, I should do more than I have to. Oh well, that's all I can say.

Quote of the day:

I KNOW, SOOOO AWESOME!!!!

Speeches

UH!!! For our speeches today, I was soooo mad at myself for screwing up, I'm really just not very satisfied with myself, really. So, since I'm depressed, I'll give you a little of Greekology.

CRONUS
(Stands up)
May I call upon the daughters of Hyperion, the son of Hyperion, the daughter of Coeus, the sons of Iapetus and the son of Crius.

The children goes up, but Crius looks around for his third son. Then Clymene walks in behind him and sends Epimetheus to go with the other children. Crius hugs her in gratitude and kisses her forehead.

The children walk up to the platform in a line and waits their turn to be in front of Cronus. Cronus stands up and puts his hand on the first child’s forehead and closes his eyes. He speaks after a little while.

CRONUS
Eos, daughter of Hyperion and Theia, goddess of dawn. There is much ignorance in your life, you will chase after mortals for lovers. But have no distress, you will produce some of the finest warriors of all time.

Cronus opens his eyes and smiles down at Eos. She expresses awe and horror, but Cronus gently pushes her aside and she returns slowly to the back of Theia’s chair. Theia gets up and leans down to comfort Eos.

Helios jumps in front of Cronus and Cronus acts surprised to see the boy.

CRONUS
Anxious, little one, aren’t you?

Helios jumps up and down and Cronus stops him by putting his hand on his head and closing his eyes.

CRONUS
You will inherit the sun chariot from your father, and ride it better than any one has before, but to whom you father will not have that good of fate, and he will set the earth on fire. But no losses will be made, Mother Gaia loves a joke once every millennia or so. Then after that you will be overthrown, by someone who is barely within family, and you will give up your chariot forever to them.

Cronus opens his eyes, but Helios is already scowling and looking like he was holding back a fit, then he ran down from the platform and to Hyperion, who grabs him and lowers down to his level to talk to him.

Next up was Selene, but we circle the room, keeping Cronus and the children in focus, but the voices are blurred, and every single time we pass a pillar, there is a new child in front of him. This happens until the last one, Asteria. She walks up to him and he puts his hand on her head, closes his eyes, then immediately opening them and looking at her threateningly.

CRONUS
(In a whisper)
You will be a sister to a traitor.

Asteria looks at him in horror and Cronus seems like he wants to kill her.

Starclimber

I've realized that I need to get a move on to finish Starclimber, I want to read it soooo much, but just can't really find the time, so much to do!

Any way, nothing much happened today other than in PE, I actually enjoyed myself immencely. I mean, we first ran three laps, as usual, and I'm starting to get the hang of running to whole way, it's actually not that bad. And then, at California Kickball, we were always tying with the other team, and I got a kick that sent me and this other guy home, then I got an adreneline rush. I wanted to kick for everyone, and run as fast as I can, I went home another time after that. I was soooo pumped!!

I want to speak French! Worse than ever now, since I just started a pen-pal relationship with Sabrina in France, from the email Mr Olson sent to us.

Quote of the day:
"POURQUOI?" Side of Eric's desk in French class

Actually, it's true, someone wrote a huge Pourquoi on the side of the desk, and whenever something weird happens, we all point to it and say "Pourquoi??"

Graphic Novels

I find graphic novels always have something wrong with them, it goes down to one panel that doesn't look that great, or the proportion is wrong, or the character just doesn't look right. It's just not like mangas, where there's a certain look to the kind of characters, and they look great! Graphic novel drawings are way too realistic. But then again, I love them too. Especially when they're based on books, like the Mortal Instruments. I've already got this specific look in mind for the characters, and I find that the movies just better enhances those looks, but in the graphic novel, Jace and Clary just doesn't look right. Jace is too much like Wolverine, and Clary looks okay, but still, something wrong. Then again, I just think that I have this perfect image of Jace in my mind that sometimes Alex Pettyfer doesn't do him justice. But that's what Jace deserves!! He's the best, no one can say he's not!!

Quote of the day:
"“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and then throw it in the face of the person who gave you the lemons until they give you the oranges you originally asked for.”" Jace Wayland, City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

I admit it, I've fallen deeply in love with him! But I think there's a slit chance that we'll never work.

Excert from Trilogy in Progress Book 1

“I don’t know!” Emily yelled. Tyler put a hand on her mouth to keep her quiet, then made his way to the window and opened it. “Get out,” Tyler pushed Emily through the window, “Quietly. I'll be there in a second.”
“But brother…”
“Now,”
“No, brother…” then with a scream, Emily jerked downwards. By instinct, Tyler grabbed her by the wrist, and looking down he realized they were a few hundred stories off the ground. How the hell did that happen?? Emily was beginning to scream now, looking down at how high up she was and how much she had to fall. But Tyler only had her by the wrist, getting her up would be a tricky thing.
Suddenly, Emily slipped a little more, and Tyler only had her by the fingers. He leaned out of the window, trying to grab Emily’s other hand, which was swaying for help. They missed by one try, then another, and Emily was still slipping. “Emily! Look at my elbow and try for my hand!”
“What? Why?”
“Just do it!” Emily did as she was told, and almost by magic, their hands met. Just as Tyler let the rock in his throat drop a little as he brought Emily up, he realized why he was having such a hard time moving: his shirt was stuck to the windowsill. He tried to avoid it and continue to pull at Emily, but it was digging in to more than just his shirt. He felt a surge of pain on the right side of his stomach and saw a little blood drip down onto his shoe. Now he really couldn’t move. He needed his hands, but he couldn’t let go of Emily. She needed something to hold on to besides him.
Just then, he saw a metal pole, running lengthwise down the building. There were extensions coming out of it, handholds, Tyler thought. “Emily, I need you to hold on to the pole!”
“How?” He told her how, and with great difficulty, Emily let go of one hand and pulled herself onto the pole, then let go of the other hand and she was completely on her own.
Tyler quickly moved away from the window, seeing now a big cut on his side. Then he realized he couldn’t move out over the windowsill again, or the same thing will happen. “Brother!!” He heard Emily cry.
“I’ll be right there!” He had to find something to bring her in, something. The desk! Tyler swiftly moved over to the desk and took the chair in front of it. Extending the chair out, it was just long enough for Emily to grab hold of a bar between two legs. “Hold on!” Tyler yelled and reeled her in. “Watch the windowsill,” he said. After a few more seconds, Emily was safely inside the room. She then tackled her brother to the ground, but only to find her hands in blood. “OW, Emily!!”
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and a cheery voice on the outside chimed “Hello, party time!”

FINALS

I know it's like forever until finals, but I decided to get a head start (better than rushing and not getting anything on the last day, I'll leave that to Steven). I decided just to organise through my stuff today so I can get ready for next week, the ultimate studithon. And boy do we have some papers from Science. Some? Try a lot! A LOT A LOT!! It's bigger than English and Socials combined!! That's just more work for all of us, oh well.

OHHH, just stocked up on YA books, I got "Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy" by Ally Carter, "Tithe" by Holly Black and, well, Starclimber isn't the usual fantasy, "Haste Society" kind of YA book, but I still love it. Oh, and I just finished my second, or third, can't remember, round on City of Bones, never gets old!

Just finished watching 3:10 to Yuma, that Western movie with Russel Crowe and Logan Lerman. Really good, well, because Logan's in it. Can't wait until Inception comes out, the new crazy movie with DiCaprio in it. Oh, and I watched Little Miss Sunshine on Friday. Great, Oscar type movie, gives a good message, but with a lot of swearing! But still good!

Wow, that was a lot about my weekend, and now your probably thinking, yeah, and 5 minutes from mine wasted!

Quote of the day:
"Do what you love, and f*** everything else." Little Miss Sunshine

See? Gives good message, but with a few swear words to accompany.

City songs

You know sometimes they make songs for cities for like special occasions? Like right now in Shanghai for the World Gala thing? They made one for China or Taiwan, or somewhere I forgot. But since I'm sort of into Korean songs, I stumbled upon a song of Seoul, the capital of South Korea, and it's really cute, I love it! It's soooo nice. I'm beginning to get really Asian right now (Should've happened a long time ago, considering how I am Asian!!), and I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not. I'm Asian, yes, but I grew up with a bunch of white kids, and I've always repelled Asian stuff, and since we're in Canada, I think my parents sort of helped me with that too, giving me not much Asian influence. I feel a little weird, but you've got to be open to different things, right??

Lionsgate City, in the Matt Cruse series by Kenneth Oppel. Matt never goes home, or he does and there's just a small description of it, but in Starclimber, the third book I'm on right now, is really reminding me of Vancouver. There's a Kitsilano, and they used to live in Gastown, and the downtown has a Burrard Inlet, IT'S SOOOO WEIRD. I love this city, I really should include it in my stories too. Also, on Wikianswers, they think Lionsgate City is an incriory of Vancouver, and that's just awesome. You never see Canadian cities in big time books, only ones that are local and like ethnic or something. Like look at the big books, Percy Jackson, New York, Mortal Instruments, New York, Twilight, Forks (well, I guess that's a small place, really small, but still American!!). Well, whatever, I love New York, and I want my characters to travel around the world, but Tyler and Annie are going to make many stops in Vancouver, no problem!

Quote of the day:
"Nephilim: Facilis Decendus Averni since 1234
Clary: What does that mean?
Jace: It means 'Shadowhunters, looking better in black than the widows of our enemies since 1234.'
Brother Jeremiah: It means 'The decent to hell is easy'
Jace: Well, that's no fun."
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

I'm not sure if that's the exact words, but it's close enough. HA!! That's a quote I'll never forget!!

Friday

Oh Friday, oh Friday, it's Friday, FRIDAY!! What a wonderful day it is to be Friday! *Music screech* Why am I so happy that it's Friday any way? Yeah, I went back to my old school and we had some gooberting fun, but I'm still stuck on homework. I haven't even started on the Science foldable yet, such a procrastinator!! That's not good. Do you know how sometimes you see, literally SEE, your grades dropping. That's what's happening to me, and I wish I can fix it, but I just can't!! It's sooooooo frustrating! Uh. But one good news, I asked about my Socials today, and I got 94%, nice! And I got 98% on Math, good good, expected, but good good. For the other things, I don't know about. But I did get a 5.5/6 on my essay, better than I thought I would get. Ms Greskiw said I was funny. HEAR THAT? I'M FUNNY!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I've always thought I was just snarky and weird, and make jokes only adults understands (Like Diana Ross's hair, or Mick Jagger's look, but more people my age don't even know those people!!). But I'm actually funny!! I'm not Chandler funny, I'm actually funny!!!

Quote of the day:
"Janice: [repeated line throughout the series] Oh... my... God!" Friends

HAHA!! Janice is funny, but in like a way that they don't intend to be funny. If you watched the show, you'll get it.

Commercial

Finally done!! At least, my part, which was actually like nothing, now Evan has to edit the whole thing and get it to go with the music. We got all the filming done for the fighting scene today, thankfully. KK, here's the commercial: Evan and Nick fight, and then Nick knocks away Evan's sword and Evan falls back. Then when Nick is going in for the kill, Evan surprises him with a dagger, and kills him, then runs away. Then the words Knights Templars come up, then a huge JOIN! You like??

Quote of the day:
"If you Kanye me, I'll Chris Brown you and Tiger Woods your mom."

I don't know who started it, but it's sooooo true!!!

PNE

Now that I've actually went back to PNE and waited in those forever lasting lines, I'm beginning to feel the resentment I had in it when I was little. I didn't like the trip. So much for the excitement yesterday, huh? Well, here's what happened: we got a package that we had to fill out, it wasn't a lot, but we just never got it out of our minds, which never lets you have complete fun. Also, Allison was my only partner, and in the morning she wanted to go on the Corkscrew and the Coaster, which left me to wait for her since I'm terrified of heights. That took all morning, and it was not until 1 something that I went on my first ride (The whole morning was just pretty much waiting, for other people!), and that didn't feel really good, The Pirate Ship never leaves you feeling good, and since Crazy Beach Party (my favourite ride) wasn't open, we went to the Music Express. Took a while to wait, but it was worth it. Then I went on the Break Dance alone, okay, but not that fun alone though. Plus, in the morning, we had the Gauss Math Contest at 8 to 9, and my mom was hurrying me out the door, so I wore the wrong shoes. They were the ones who scraped at your foot until you see bone if you didnt have socks, and I didn't!

Funny about the Music Express, I had a awesome dream about it once. Percy and Annabeth (Zeus knows why they were in Vancouver) decided to go on the Music Express. And if you've ever been on it, you would know that because of centrifugal force (Thanks fishy!) the person on the outside of the wheel is squished mercilessly. So funny how Percy decided to be inside, and through the whole ride, he was trying to pull himself in and it really isn't easy, not with Annabeth punching him to get off of her anyway!!

Quote of the day:
"Annabeth: Get off me, Percy Jackson, or Clarisse and I will chop your head off!!
Percy: Sorry sorry sorry sorry!!"

LOLZ!

PNE

OMG, with the excitement for PNE, it's hard to resist jumping up and down with joy. Then again, if we were going to meet like Rick Riordan or Cassandra Clare, you'd see me a lot worse. But PNE is still great.

Check this song out, it's really good, Demons, by Guster. OOHH!! Also this one, Transatlanticism by Death Cab For Cutie. I love Death Cad For Cutie!! They're really good!!!!!

OMG, the fire alarm today, sooo weird!!!! Evan, Nick and I stayed back to do some work on the commercial, and it went off like 4 times after that! Some one was totally pulling it on purpose!

Speaking of commercial, we tried to fight with umbrellas today, Andrean's umbrellas (Thankfully I don't know who Andrean is, cause we broke her umbrellas), and we sort of totally failed. But we did get our idea done and Evan sort of finished the music for the commercial, and it's awesome!! Go Evan!

Quote of the day:
"Big Mac, and Junior McChicken, together make a GangBang." Evan Kwong

He kept saying that on the tour of the Vancouver Opera, and he actually ate that for dinner after!!

HOMEWORK!!!

OMG, today, even with the party in the morning, I still have sooo much to do. We played Jeopardy in Socials, and I totally screwed up in answering the questions that I'm supposed to be good at, and that starts me thinking about whether or not I'm ready for the test at all. I feel like I'm not ready at all, and of course, there are things that I'm missing, but I feel like I know them too. I can't find anything that I don't really understand, and that's bad because we get a cheat sheet of five answers, and I'm sure I'm missing something, but I know if I put it on the cheat sheet, it'll be useless because I'll remember it. I'm just afraid somethings are slipping through my fingers here!! And then there's science, I know there's PNE of Wednesday, so there isn't anything urgent to do, but I still feel horrible for leaving the foldable on to the weekend, but it's supposed to be fancy and have a lot of facts, and I want to remember them too!! And then there's the English speech, since we skipped English today, we'll have to do the good copy for Friday without a revision period, and I don't know if I'm ready or not!!!!!!! SOOOO MUCH TO DO!!!!!!

Excert from Trilogy in Progress Book One!!

“Ahh,” she sighed, “You’re a life saver.”
“And you’re the only person I know of who can enjoy coffee at four o’clock in the afternoon, you know that?” she smiled and focused back to the door.

“Seems like someone’s chasing you,” Annie said and narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

“Oh, someone is,” the girl laughed mischievously and pointed to the tray, “I didn’t pay for those.”

Annie stopped drinking her coffee, “Then who did?”

“Would you relax, Jake did, and I stole it from him.”

“Oh,” Annie’s shoulders hunched down as she relaxed. They stole the boys’ coffee all the time. It wasn’t like Jake could do anything about it. In fact, Annie had a feeling he didn’t want to do anything about it, he liked the attention girls gave him. “But you know, Oak, he’s on to you, and I feel like he’s going to get his revenge someday.”

Oakley looked at her amusingly, “What’s he going to do, tell on me? I told you, you need to relax.”

“Well, guess the coffee’s not working then.”

Oakley Harbour was Annie’s best friend and they’ve known each other since they were five. Oakley actually helped Annie dye her hair that one time. The two have always done everything together, and they shared their secrets to no one but each other, like the fact that they both had naturally purple eyes. The others all think that they wear the same contacts, and never really asked about it in fine detail. The girls built up a friendship after they found out that fact about each other.

“Oh, yeah, how’s it going with the studying?” Oakley averted her attention to Annie.

“Mmm…” Annie sipped her coffee and nodded sheepishly.

“No, seriously,” Oakley hounded.

Annie moved the cup away from her mouth and gulped down the previous amount she had sucked into her mouth slowly, to buy time so she can think of a plausible answer. “Good.” You call that a plausible answer, Annie cursed herself.

A day out

Since we've got the Sun Run tomorrow, my mom and I decided to have Mother's Day today. We went shopping and had lunch and bought clothes bla bla bla. But what's weird is that we bought clothes for me, but it's Mother's Day, I should be buying stuff for mommy. But apparently it makes my mom happy to dress me up, so I got a sweatshirt and dress, all sooooo cheap and pretty!!

Here's a little exert of my story, lets see if you can guess which one:

72 Darkness

From the darkness comes the words “Hermes” fading in and then out.

73 Inside Olympian’s palace Gardens Day

Zeus walks in and looks down the mountain when Apollo, about 15, comes in dragging Hermes, about 7 or 8, by the wrist up to Zeus and hurling him forward.

ZEUS
Apollo, back from the south, and I see you brought your brother. I thought I hid him well enough.

APOLLO
Not from me, father, I caught his mother, that weird nymph and asked her to tell me where he was. (To Hermes) See you try stealing my sacred cattle!

HERMES
(Sticking out his tongue at Apollo)
They were just stupid cows, like you really care.

ZEUS
Hermes, what is this?

HERMES
Hello father, it’s nice to see you again, though you don’t often visit mother and I much any more. (To Apollo) She, a very wonderful and not at all weird nymph, (To Zeus) Is getting worried about you.

ZEUS
Well, reassure her that there is nothing to be worried about. But what is the meaning of this? Sacred cattle are Apollo’s animals.
HERMES
And so I agree, I don’t understand what I’ve done wrong.

APOLLO
You stole my cattle, that’s what.

HERMES
No I didn’t!

ZEUS
Hermes, you and I both know you are a terrific liar, but did you steal his cattle?

HERMES
Yes, but it was meant to be a joke in the mist of all this seriousness, I meant no offence.

APOLLO
Punish him, father!

ZEUS
I will not punish him, I will simply ask him to return the cattle, and for him to remain on Olympus, we’ll need every hand on board of the next attack.

HERMES
You mean as an Olympian??

ZEUS
Yes, as an Olympian, the god of messengers and lets be honest, thieves.

APOLLO
Father!!

ZEUS
What else am I supposed to do? Perhaps he can cause less trouble with all of us keeping an eye on him.

Zeus laughs and walks back into the palace. Apollo stares murderously at Hermes.

HERMES
What? I returned your cattle!

APOLLO
Fine, but don’t expect me to treat you nicely just because of it.

HERMES
No, but perhaps you can treat me nicely in exchange for a gift.
(Extended hand and a lyre appeared)
I invented it when I was one day old, it’s called a lyre.
(Handing it to Apollo) A gift, to the god of music, in exchange for truce.

APOLLO
(Taking the lyre and strumming it and then observing it)
It does have a nice sound. Wonderful tuning and feel…
(Looking up) Fine, this in exchange for truce.

Hermes smiles and Apollo still looks at him murderously, then walks in with Hermes fast on his heel.

What would you do?

OMG, the show What Would You Do is awesome!! It like gives senarios of things that might actually happen in real life and see what people who don't know what's going on do what. Like there's this girl who got a little drunk at a restuarant, an actress, and a man tried to get her out of the restuarant, an actor, and see if anyone would try to help the girl. Also, this other time when they threw out customers from a clothes store, all actors, and see if anyone will stop them. A lot of people do come out as not helpful, but it just makes me think of what I would do in a situation such as that kind. Maybe now that I've seen these things, I'll be more careful of these kind of stuff and help out people who needs it.

Quote of the day:
"I don't want you kind of people touching my things!" What Would You Do?

Isn't it weird?

OPERA

The Opera was soooooo good!!!! I had like soooo much fun. But once I got home at like about 11 I couldn't get to sleep, so I read, and the last score of the Opera was stuck in my head. But I liked it there. I loved it soooo much! Seriously, at intermission, at the bar place, there were like people with wine glasses, it felt like a party where inportant people were. I even held myself more upstraight because of them. I guess it is an important people's place. And the Opera was just sooo fun! I mean, I know the story and everything, but it's still great to see them and listen to the music and just get lost in the music and everything!! I would do it a hundred times over!!

Quote of the day:
“As death, when we come to consider it closely, is the true goal of our existence . . .” Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Well, that's a depressing thought.

One song

Isn't it funny how songs can put images into your head? I love it when that happens. I have like little snippets of clips and short stories when I listen to a song. Like there's this song called Where Does the Good Go by Tegan and Sara (Canadians!!) and it gave me a story about a girl leaving a guy, and then the girl realizes she was wrong and she runs back. It's so simple, I like it. And also like the song Chocolate by Snow Patrol, the ending of City of Bones fits it perfectly. The song My Heart by The Perishers, fits ending of City of Ashes. There's this wonderful clip of Clary and Jace in City of Glass where they just lie beside each other, and that goes good with the song Fall At Your Feet. Why I say this is right now I've got a song stuck in my head that reminds me of Clary, from the Mortal Instruments, Annabeth, from Percy Jackson, and Thalia, also from Percy Jackson. The verse, which talks about mistrust and stuff, reminds me of Clary, the transitions, which sound really dark and punkish, remind me of Thalia, and the chorus, reminds me of Annabeth, almost like she's shouting at Luke or something. Here's the song, called Unbreakable by Fireflight: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/fireflight/unbreakable.html

Quote of the day:
"I love you, and I've always loved you!" Jonathan

TO ERIC!! LOLZ!!! I feel sad for Eric, we should all try and keep Jonathan away from him from now on.

Clash of the Titans

I guess it was pretty good, like I said, cheesy, but good. I liked the guy, though from Percy Jackson, I got a impression of Perseus and being younger, but it was really nicely done. Perseus is from Avatar, in case you haven't noticed, and he is fine!! Any way, I liked the girl they picked for Io, I've never liked her much, but from this movie, I like her a lot better. Before, she was just a mistress of Zeus' that got turned into a cow, but this time, she's awesome Perseus' love!!

Here's a small excert from my trilogy in progress, book one. One of my friends actually thought that it was a pretty good name, lolz:

"Tyler!!" a big scream came from afar. Loud street noise filled Tyler's head as he shot up from his dreaming state. A massive head rush came and it took awhile to fade. Tyler gritted his teeth, 'Who the hell was that?', he thought, but he could already answer that.
Sure enough, Shane came running into the room. "Tyler, looks who's here!" he said, a little quieter this time.
"God, I hope it's Death so he can get you out of here." said Tyler, still rubbing his eyes.
"In your dreams, big guy."
"It was in my dream until you interrupted it, now let me sleep," he grumbled, "Just because you don't get jet lag, that doesn't mean others don't either."
"Whatever, can you just get up??" Shane exclaimed excitedly, "Someone awesome is here."
"Why don't you tell me who it is and leave me alone!!"
"It's your dad!"
"Really?"
"No."
"Then leave me alone!!"
"NO!" Shane walked over to the side of the bed, "No, dude, this is so much better than some guy who left you when you were little, this is the Eagle we're talking about!!"
"The band?"
"No, not the band, the master! The awesome guy we wanted to train with! He's back, and he's seeking some special kid to train." Shane kicked the bed while Tyler looked like he was loosing interest, "I mean, isn't this what you wanted?? He trained your grandpa, didn't he? The letter said that he did, and it only makes sense if he trains you too!!"

I didn't proof read this, so please excuse any swearing!

Clash of the Titans

I'm currently watching Clash of the Titans, so I'll keep this one short. This is a good movie, I guess, I mean, I love Perseus, but the impression made by him is quite fizzy. And the movie's just a tad cheesy, but it's still very good. Goes a little fast though, and I never really liked Io, but that's okay, this can change my mind.

Quote of the day:
"Someday, some one has to make a stand, someday, some one has to say "enough"" Clash of the Titans

Cheesy, but good!
