About Me

My photo
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Okay, sup? How you doing? Good! But you're probably here to know about me. I'm Sophie and I'm 15, grade 9, Asian, bla bla bla. I like a lot of stuff! Like books, music, MOVIES (if you want to know which ones, just go down to the bottom)! I want to be a director when I grow up, sooooo fun!! And I've got lots of friends, well, not lots, but a fair bit. People call me hard-working, or just a nerd. I am a nerd, a hard-core nerd, you got a problem with that? Good. I'm also just hard-core, I mean, I've got people's backs, I fight for what I believe in, I say what's on my mind, I don't sway with the crowd. Yeah, anything else? If you have any more questions (Which you probably don't, because you probably know me in real life, and you'll know that Sophie Tribiani doesn't exit, at least I hope I didn't steal someone else's name o.O....) Just read some of my posts, I've got lots!

knitting

K, can't write, can't talk, very behind on making toques, so now that I have more colours for wool, I'll focus on that. Nothing new, nothing much.

Ignore the cute baby and look at the toque, that's what I'm making. Now look at the cute baby!

Makeshift Chapter 5 end and chapter 6

https://sites.google.com/site/sophietribiani/home/it-s-my-fallen-angel/makeshiftchapter5contand6

Lots and lots today. I went crazy with it because I had it all in my head. Seriously, this has got to be the most fun I've had writing! And the most clear minded, even though I'm writing about a mentally unstable. I need time to plan out the scenes before in my head, and in books, it's hard to think about it before, which brings the quality of the scenes down. For a half long half short one, it's easier!

Makeshift Chapter 3 and 4

https://sites.google.com/site/sophietribiani/home/it-s-my-fallen-angel

OMG, I watched it on Monday, but forgot to post about it, OMG CASTLE EPISODE WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOO GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AOGPENGWOGPOIYHGPABFQ]'pn;lkhn;oh;iahndo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was sooooooo freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! During the commercial breaks, I had to think it over just to barely understand. It was because there were two mysteries happening at once, and they were both connected. Beckett and Castle were trying to get the connection between the past murder of Beckett's mom, and Ryan and Esposito were on the murder of Raglan, the officer of whom was on the case of Beckett's mom and wrote it off as random gang violence. I can't spoil it but it was seriously awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pic of the day:
Does any one see that Beckett's scoring Chuck Taylors?? It's a revelation she doesn't have heals on!!! And thank you to Mr Singh, a grade 7 teacher in my elementary school for telling me that Converses are Chuck Taylors!

Knitting and a bunch of other stuff

Okay!! We won Crofton House for Reach!!!!!!!!!! I want to say it was a close game, but it wasn't!!!!!!!!

Oscar Nominations came out today. NO LEONARDO DICAPRIO???????????????? I'm mad because of that. Don't get me started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But Hailee Steinfeld, possible Katniss, has been nominated. She's fourteen!!!!!!!!! This makes me feel really old!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Knitting for homeless people is fun!!! Not that being homeless is fun! But, just......... never mind........
Forgot a certain stitch I wanted to do though, have to go on youtube and see how. So tedious!

Pic of the day:
This pic deserves to be oversized!!!!!!! It's awesome!!!!!!!!

Yay, exciting isn't it? 400, no wait, 4's an unlucky number!! Ah, so Asian.

Any ways, Mr Olson broke the news that we'd be giving homeless peeps stuff. I'm fine with it, but still a little hesitant to tell mommy about it. I'll get around to it. It.

Ed Westwick, or Chuck from GOSSIP GIRL AND MOLLY QUINN FROM CASTLE!!!!!!!! Are going to be readers for the City of Fallen Angels Audiobook!!!!!!! That's incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, like I've got like three stories I'm working on right now, and tons of homework, and I manage to finish all my HW before every one else. AND I watch a lot of different stuff just for fun. I wonder what others do all the time!

WATCH RUSSELL PETERS, HE'S SOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pic of the day:
OMGS NEXT EPISODE OF CASTLE LOOKS SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! INTENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really hope I can work with something like this when I grow up. These kinds of great shows give me such joy, and I wish I create them so that people can enjoy it as much as I do!!

Makeshift Chapter 2 cont and IB test

https://sites.google.com/site/sophietribiani/home/it-s-my-fallen-angel

It's going really really fast!

Okay, Pre-Ib entrance exam was yesterday. OMGs, it was...... okay. Seriously, it wasn't that bad. For one, the math was a piece of cake, though I did freak myself out by misreading the first question. LOLz!

Okay, parent teacher conferences. I'm ready to get grilled by all my teacher. But ah, my parents are probably even more relaxed then Jacob's parents! And that says something.

Pic of the day:
Good luck all who wants to join!! That includes me!!

The 74th annual

Just a very little fanfic short thing on the Hunger Games I wrote at Newshoots, hope you enjoy!! It was from a game, I had to write a story about a taxidermist/winner of a reality show and a side character who always called radio stations, they were in the worst storm in fifty years, and they had hunger on their side. So what better to do than the Hunger Games??

The 74th Annual

By Jessica Yang

Thunder filed through the black sky. I stared out, surprisingly frightened. I’ve seen many horrid events, more than my fair share, and yet I was cowering to this. Somehow, the weather reminded me of the arena, the thunder as Gamemakers, the lighting as electricity for the cameras. Worst of all: the hunger. Two days with no food, two days. At least in the games, there were animals to hunt.

As an apprentice to a taxidermist, I was part of a small community of animal experts here in District 11. We used to say, “If the agriculture flourished to become a butterfly, then we were the cocoon, holding it all together. Flowers needed pollination, wheat needed manure, and of course, rich people needed objects of pure death to decorate their bare walls. Us taxidermists, we hunt animals, stuff them, and both sell them on display as well as study their remains. And as I looked around the room, I wished desperately that the animals were not all stuffed.

Lala cried softly in the corner, rocking her body back and forth as if she was a rocking horse. Two days with no calls to her friends at the radio station, she was really driving herself (And with all her whimpering, me) out of sanity.

We were working late when the evils of the storm hit, and if the goddamn door was not utterly stuck, I would go out and get some food. Animals come out in the weirdest weather sometimes.

The only thing we could count on to work was the television. The Capitol couldn’t let any of us miss the games just because of a little rain, now could they? I recalled my own games, when I had to simply outlive all my opponents rather than kill some like this year’s tributes had to.

The girl who was on fire would’ve been extinguish long ago in the storm, and I watched her sing softly to my old friend, Rue, as she exhaled a final breath. Now, the girl who was on fire would’ve had to fight on her own. Katniss Everdeen was neither trying to win glory, or fame, but simply, like all the rest of us had done, for her life. That was a very cruel joke to make a TV reality show out of. And as she gingerly padded the flowers into Rue’s soft dark hair, I realized that I’ve known my answer to Lito for a while now. Katniss Everdeen was fighting the government, and when this storm was over, I will join them, and we, we will fight with her.

Makeshift Chapter 2

https://sites.google.com/site/sophietribiani/home/it-s-my-fallen-angel/untitledpost-2

Nothing much happened today. I finished my final planning for Makeshift, and it'll have an awesome epic end!!! Wooo!!!!!

Got a 14/15 on my Spanish oral, first time I didn't get 15 on the orals. QQ, but it's okay.

Wow, nothing much did happen today. Oh yeah, people spazzed at me for spamming about the Golden Globes last night. But who can blame me?? Award season's officially started!! Sorry if I have a passion for the talkies!!!! Who doesn't?????

Pic of the day:
Watched it again and realized that Kaya Scodelario was in this movie! I missed her the first time because I didn't know who she was back then. Great movie!!

GOLDEN GLOBES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that great of a show. Frankly, Ricky Gervais wouldn't be on my list of great comedians, I mean, tonight, he was just plain mean. I think I laughed because I was like "It's only on live television that he gets away with this," I mean, some of the things he said were like really nuts!!

Um, DiCaprio didn't even show up!!!!! Huge disappointment. And Inception didn't win best pic, but Social Network did, and even though I'm not a huge fan of Facebook, as a child of this generation, I've got to be impressed. And I am, I'm happy that they won. Matt Damon presented life -time achievement award type thing for Robert De Niro. De Niro is a BEAST, let me just say, and he said that one day Matt Damon's gonna get that award too. If I remember correctly, Matt Damon had a whole award show, like an hour, dedicated only to him!! It was pretty good. Oh, Kurt won, from Glee, and Sue won, and Glee itself won for best tv series. Um, I was a little disappointed when I saw Quinn there but not her new boyfriend, Jace, I mean, Alex Pettyfer. Jace, what am I talking about? I call them by their show names cause I like their show names better.

Happy awards season, it's officially started!!!!!!!!!!!

Pic of the day:
Oh, forgot, should be Katniss Hailee Steinfeld was there. Presented an award with Justin Beiber for best animated film, then the winner was the director from Toy Story 3, who wasn't sure whether neither of them were even born when the first Toy Story came out. Hilarious!!

Continuation of Chapter 1 Makeshift

https://sites.google.com/site/sophietribiani/home/it-s-my-fallen-angel/makeshiftchapter1continued
Not much to say, I mean, the title explains itself. Pretty much.....

Pic of the day:
Gotta watch this!!! I watched it first when I was finishing up my dossier for English before the break, and then I just watched it now because I'm doing Lennon as a peace activist for Socials. Really good look on his life. Check out Mind Games and Jealous Guy by him, beautiful!!

Synergy

With the IB application exam approaching neigh, I couldn't help but remember the time we went for our Synergy Application test. Aha, such times should always be remembered. Back then, I had no idea who any of the people I know and hang out now's names! Ah, good times, good pure times when we were still able to run around, free from worries of kilograms of homework, what a time.

Aha, did you notice the kilograms part? To say a ton of homework would be both a hyperbole and a cliche. Hyperbole being an exaggeration, because you don't actually have a ton of homework, and cliche being an expression used too much it loses its meaning, and a ton of homework then just becomes lots of homework. Of course, for Middle Years kids, a ton of homework is an understatement.

OMG, today at the recognition assembly, we weren't recognized!! And Ms Buteau said there was very little people in Honour Role, well, YEAH, YOU FORGOT MORE THAN HALF OF THE GUYS WHO HAS HONOUR ROLE!!!!!!! No one ever, EVER acknowledges us. AND Jamie wasn't even up for principal's list!! OMGs!!!! Now I'm not so happy!!!!!!!!!! Plus, if you're really going to talk about GPA, I've got a 92% average, uh, hello?? That's a lot more than some one who has straight As but might only have a 86% average!!! Plus, it's academic, and PE is NOT ACADEMIC.

Okay, I'm done.

Pic of the day:

Aha!!! Clever TV said to recommend someone who's not too known in the movie industry, but also is a front runner for Katniss. Does no one know that they've already sent the script to Kaya?? No one?? Any ways, she's Katniss, period! Especially in Mockingjay, when her character's fuzzy weirdness is a lot like Kaya's character in Skins, Effy Stonem. Skins is awesome, BTW, check it out!

Alex Pettyfer!!! British actors are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Series: Makeshift

Okay, so after that dream I had about the whole other world, it prompted me to really want to write about it, and today, after Eddy's encouragement, I've decided to really get it started. I hope this time I've got Synergy in support, because a lot of the people in this new series will be based on them. However, these two characters in the first chapter isn't based on any one. I guess the girl's sorta based on me, because it's in her POV that I had the dream. Hope you like it. https://sites.google.com/site/sophietribiani/home/it-s-my-fallen-angel

Pic of the day:
I want it to look something like Avatar's world, but as well, more like Earth.
But no blue people and more weird creatures!!

Castle in the Sky

Thanks to Laurie and her group of musicians who introduced this song in English as a project, I'm almost addicted to it. It's so cheesy, and girly and Asian, but still really good! Castle in the Sky ending credits, I think, check it out.

Any ways, not much happened, but I did have a great dream last night!!! Sent adrenaline straight up my veins!! Okay, so it's actually close to the Hunger Games, that's why I'm not using it in some kind of story, or else that's copyright. So there was a corrupt government on earth, and in a glass room/beach house thing, a group of us held a meeting to overthrow the government. We thought we were clear and no one knows about us until the government bombed the glass house. We quickly rushed to my mother's store and got some supplies and headed out. That's when we ran, continuously, through streets, abandoned places, and so on, trying to hide our identities. Then some parts are blurry, but it comes out several months later, and we've settled on another planet! Something foreign yet has the basic cells and structures of Earth. But there's all kinds of weird stuff, and almost the whole planet is nothing but nature. We've built a little two room house that seemed to be very nicely worked out, and we hunt for the awkward animals as food and eat even weirder plants, but we make it through. There's a girl I didn't recognize, but in my dream, she was the very hard core kind and blond, almost like Madi now that I think about it, but she had this photo of us when we were little, and that's how we knew each other. As well, there was this part of which she was helping a boy learn how to climb a tree, and I didn't know him either, but I thought they liked each other. Jacob and Jonathan and Edward was there, as well as Allison and Laurie. I think Laurie was mourning because Jamie was killed in the bombing or something. Tragic, I know. Sorry, I had no control over this.

Any ways, the best part that still keeps me awed was this canyon, huge huge grey brown canyon that had wide and deep walls and that extended into a cave. I was standing at the bottom of the canyon and knew that the place was mostly mine, that I went there to hide, or to hunt, or just to think. I loved it. The waters on the ground were poisonous, but when I walked, they parted for me. There's also cat-sized, things, that I shot with a bow and arrow, and I knew that I did that a lot. But this time, when I went there, there was a woman there, she was sitting on a large rock at the right side of the canyon and cave, a rock that I climbed easily, and she said she wanted us go back to earth, saying that the government won't hurt us. She talked about my mother, saying that she's still waiting for me. It skips to us walking out the door of our house and me being cranky because we had to speak English, and after being on our own and in a totally different place, we've developed a language of our own. We were going back earth.

Pic of the day:
It looked something like this, except much more greyer and the water was just trickling on the ground, not a full river or lake.

My own Work force

To eventually cross the items one by one off my ever long list of duties, I have finished..... four and a half today. It was actually not as bad as I thought. I've finished most of what I need to do for next week. The long term projects, however, I have tried to avoid. I have not touched any of the socials biographies, and for science fair, I'm gonna cheat a little and open them tomorrow instead of today. But I did get the layout of my board done, and soon, I'll buy it and get ready to go.

Okay, so I'm sure you've all been very satisfied with learning about my very hefty work load, but there's seriously nothing else I did today. Nothing!!

IB applications, must, pull, a, Jamie, to, get, in!!!!!

Pic of the day:
Touche, my friends, touche.

Happy birthday to me!!

Yeah, that's right, happy birthday. It wasn't the best birthday ever, in fact, it could be one of my worst, but still, I can't complain. We got like three more projects and three more tests for next week! Yay, like we have no life outside of school as it is! Oh well, all the more practice for IB, right? So like I said, I can't complain.

For a while, the work of school itself blinded me to see that my friends are actually trying to make this a good birthday for me. I got to say, best part of the day, a moment I'd probably never forget in my life, was when I told Winnie and Emma it was my birthday, and they started to sing loudly "Happy Birthday", then the whole class joined in. It was a bit embarrassing to be put on the spot, but otherwise, it was so great, like the smallest ray of beauty and kindness and love in the world. Just a song, you know, no far fetched gift, no amount of moneyed up payment present will be closer to my heart, so I say thanks, to all of Synergy, you make my life annoyed and crazy, but just like the loud grandma upstairs that you can't live without, I would be nothing without you guys! Love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Though I do enjoy the physical attributes of birthdays immensely too!

Pic of the day:
Birthdays in this time, I salute my fellow Capricorns.

IB info night

KK, so tonight is the IB info night, and like in two weeks our applications will be due. Oh great!! Just as I thought I'd get started on science fair poster, this comes along. Well, stop drop and work, as they say. This is probably gonna be one of my most important applications ever!! So I'd better do good. Starting this Saturday (still, I ain't working on my birthday!) I'll work on both science fair AND IB application. Good luck to me, cause this year I wanted to do good on my science fair too, cause I liked going to districts, and I really want to go again. I know, it's a far fetched dream, but a girl can, well, dream, can't she? You know what, don't answer that.

Pic of the day:
It's time to put on a brave face like all the strong women I read about, cause I'm gonna need to pull off more than just a Katniss to get through this with grace.
Aha, no blonds! Sad, actually, because they're pretty cool.

The Assassination of Sophie Tribiani

Okay, so maybe Sophie didn't actually die, and was no where near death, so Mr Olson, no reports needs to be done or anything, I'm fine. Since Sophie is my alter-ego, she was hurt pretty badly today. Here's the list of things that went really wrong, and do not think me as one who speaks of unfairness, but this is just bad from my perspective

  1. 16/20 for my socials essay, on the French Revolution, a subject I've been studying a lot and actually enjoy
  2. We had the Geography challenge today, and though I have a feeling my score was above average, it's still pretty, pretty sad. Jacob got 28/50, highest in the class. I got........ 19/50, I know, sad. I didn't know it was the Ivory Coast, GODs!!
  3. At Reach for the top, every question I answered, was wrong.
  4. I got pretty bad on a Spanish test..... Well, not that bad, but still, bad for my ego
Okay, so maybe there weren't sooo many things to bring Sophie down, but still, the two things from socials and the total fail in Reach did the trick. Now my ego and I are going to a mental spa so that I don't get too depressed, and yes, the spa is Hunger games themed.

Pic of the day:
It's working, a little at least.

Back to Skool

First day and two projects! Wait, only one, okay, not as bad as I thought. But two tests next week, ah, I love my life. Seriously, it's time I shaped up again, I've been doing almost nothing this break besides looking over homework and stressing about the Hunger Games! Gah, the Hunger Games, I love the Hunger Games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, well, I think you guys have had enough talk about that series for a while.

Well, if I can't talk about that, what should I talk about.

My life is quite uneventful.

Oh, I know, some of my friends might actually get me something this year of my birthday!! Big improvement from last year when only two people remembered. January 7 guys, I hate being so old. Gosh, I have to go into being 15 all alone and have to wait for all these other guys to join. Come on!!

Pic of the day:
Hmm, can't seem to get a pic on, it's okay, I'll do one tomorrow.

Witness new chapter

Okay, another chapter of Witness is up!
Like I said before, chapters are all mixed up, but hope you enjoy it! I'm finally getting a small idea of what the characters look like because i had a dream, which was more like a file, in my head the other night, and I got the ideas. Subject 9 looks something like this:
I'm not really sure
, but this is Willa Holland.
And I really don't want to put the idea of Alex Pettyfer in people's minds, again, for Agent J, because it seems like any YA novel that has a blond male character in it, he's the guys everyone thinks of, and no matter how much I love him, I think only Jace and Peeta he should stick with. Maybe William Moseley with darker hair.
Um, now that I think about it, older too.

Okay, if you are reading the series, thank you so much! If you are not, it's fine, I'm far from done, and they'll be posted up one by one, IN ORDER, once I am finished!

TMI Fanfic final chapter and Mockingjay

So, last chapter of the Mortal Instruments fanfic, called Dream Life, is now up. Visit my shared fanfic page where you can find that story and more! http://www.fanfiction.net/u/2284509/Eleos_Fall3nAngel

Okay, just finished Mockingjay today, and OMGS it's soooooo good!!!!!!!! Okay, this series has made me cry three times now!!! It's either really, seriously, absolutely awesome, or I'm just seriously weak. Well, I haven't cried this much for another series yet! I've only lost it once when it came to the Mortal Instruments, and just full of adrenaline for Percy Jackson.

I seriously love the books. It talks about Revolution, and yet in the end it brings out the best of people. OMGs Katniss is sooooo awesome!!! But she's sooo tragic too!!!!!! Oh, there it is, they're the reason for the teardrops of my keyboard! No, no singing for me....

Pic of the day:
I like this picture. See? Can't get enough!!

Hunger Games

My full apologies for not writing for two days, but I've sort of been in a state of............. indifferency, it's telling me on spell check that this is not spelled correctly, so I don't presume it's a word. However, I think things become words when some one says it, and I guess now that I've typed the word indifferency, it's a weird. I've gotta be very careful with words sometimes on blogs, or Mr Olson will ring me out. Any ways, indifferency sort of means different from all others, I guess. Well, for me, it's more of a definition of obsession, a withdrawal to the world.

I've been intoxicated with the Hunger Games Trilogy, not even having the decency to wait for the orders I've got still in the library. I've been listening to Catching Fire and MockingJay Youtube. OMGs, I just, I cannot put in words how great this story really is!!! And it's actually quite hard to render a writer speechless, as I'm sure some people have tried in the past, and most have failed. But this, besides the Mortal Instruments, this is my next love in books. Not have I been filled with such hunger to read before. It seems fitting that I'm in hunger for the Hunger Games, eh?

Happy New Year!!!! We say goodbye to a wonderful year of 2010 and begin our journeys (bla bla bla New Years boring speech)..... But even as everyone was thinking of the next year and what's to come, I think about the Hunger Games, what Katniss will do, what Peeta will do. I swear, it's in my veins, and speaking of which, here is the best tribute (haha, if you've read the series) video for Katniss and Peeta!!! It's really good!!!!!!!!!! And, big supporter of Peeta and Katniss here, no Gale business besides the fact that he's a great friend. I'm holding fast to hope for Peeta and Katniss, even though of what I'm hearing in MockingJay right now!!!

Pic of the day:
Some of these choices of Cast I don't agree with, to see who I like, I've started a new page on my site: https://sites.google.com/site/sophietribiani/the-hunger-games
