About Me

My photo
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Okay, sup? How you doing? Good! But you're probably here to know about me. I'm Sophie and I'm 15, grade 9, Asian, bla bla bla. I like a lot of stuff! Like books, music, MOVIES (if you want to know which ones, just go down to the bottom)! I want to be a director when I grow up, sooooo fun!! And I've got lots of friends, well, not lots, but a fair bit. People call me hard-working, or just a nerd. I am a nerd, a hard-core nerd, you got a problem with that? Good. I'm also just hard-core, I mean, I've got people's backs, I fight for what I believe in, I say what's on my mind, I don't sway with the crowd. Yeah, anything else? If you have any more questions (Which you probably don't, because you probably know me in real life, and you'll know that Sophie Tribiani doesn't exit, at least I hope I didn't steal someone else's name o.O....) Just read some of my posts, I've got lots!

Finally

I finally got how to do the chart!! It only took five people and a number of raised voices. It was much better than the time I learned how to upload and download things. But nontheless I did it!! I'm so proud of myself right now.

Back in Elementary, we only had like 15 minutes of homework, not even on a daily bases. Now, if I finish my homework by 6:00pm, then that'll be a big step. Since now there are projects in almost every Synergy subject, I feel like I'm working to impress, but I'll never get finished. I take so long on everything to make sure they're perfect, but I need to learn that sometimes speed is required as well.

Ha!! He's totally right, I love this guy!

The Literature Club

Today was the first meeting of the Literature Club, Yah!!!:) Well, really it was really awkward, I was the only grade 8 there, we had to do a "backbone poem", where everyone gives a word and you write a poem from them, and I couldn't understand the words that were given, it was so embarrassing. But nonthless, I will stick to it and perhaps even make some friends from the fellow writers, who, by the way, are mostly grade 11s.

Quote of the day:
"Happiness and moral duty are inseparably connected." George Washington

Hey, that's what we learned in the Go program!!

CS students

Two CS students were at Applied Skills today. As they worked, they also talked to us. Apparently they were also in Middle Years and now are in IB. Hopely I would be them someday.

Quote of the day:
"Nine-tenths of wisdom is being wise in time." Theodore Roosevelt

Now funny thing about this guy is that he's the famous one, while Franklin Roosevelt, his uncle, I think, did all the glorious things. The only thing Theodore did was have Teddy Bears named after him.

Spongebob's Birthday Party

We're supposed to draw Spongebob's Birthday Party for our perspective work. I've noticed that Spongebob is miraculously easier to draw than the other characters. But I am determined to draw them to their perfection (Which is highly unlikely for me to accomplish, but nonetheless, it must be done).

I have finally finished The Book Thief, and let me tell you what a sad story it is. In the end all but the protagonist dies. All her friends, her family, everything she ever knew was ruined. And the sad part is that she's German. Though she was a Counter-Nazi, she was still German. Hitler had the guts, he knew many Germans would die in War or even in their own houses, but he did it anyway. He himself wasn't even German!!

Quote of the day:

"The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic." Joseph Stalin

Don't even get me started on this guy, this Russian ruiner.

life is a battlefield

It is a battlefield, not only do you fight with your enemies, you also fight with yourself. You fight viruses and unpleasant thoughts. Overall, life is hard.

Quote of the day:
"Not life, but good life, is to be chiefly valued." Socrates

See, now he's never fought something like a virus. Life is good, hard good.

Homework plus Ralph Marston

Extentions:

Lesson 1:
The 7 Habits

1)Be Proactive G. b.
2)Begin With the End in Mind D. c.
3)Put First Things First C. g.
4) Think Win-Win B. f.
5)Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood F. e.
6)Synergize A. d.
7)Sharpen the Saw E. a.

Lesson 2:
My Goals:
My goals are to get more involved in school, to get good grades and to have fun in High school. Farther off in High school, I want to get into IB, hopefully get a scholarship. Farther into the future, I would like to go to a descent university and study history and literature. Maybe have a family and, well have fun, enjoy life. But right now I'm working on not getting sick.

Successful
Mattering the important things
Arange future
Rest is also important
Time management

My Smart goal:
To stay on task for anything I do, to think and plan my future carefully, letting go of the not-so-important and grasping to important things, to plan my life both short-term and long-term, and to rest and enjoy my life.

So, that was the expensions, now the reflections:
Lesson 1:
If someone were to describe your family character, what would he or she say? What character qualities are high on your family list?

Our family thinks a lot about each other and cares for one another. My family is also very intellegent and focused. They strive to get what they want, yet planning around other's schedules. At times it doesn't work out, but then we still have each other. My family describes me also as intellegent and hard-working, that I care a lot for my family and none that troublesome, unlike other kids.

Lesson 2:
What are your family goals? Is there anything you would like to accomplish together?

Well, my family says that there's nothing we can't do if we stick together. My parents want a house someday, a place to call our own. But they heavily care for my education as well. My parents are also hoping for a job that's not to tiresome, so it can last when they grow old. My family's morals are quite like mine, or should I say that my morals come from those of my parents.

Alright, that was the extensions and reflections, so that part's done. I've also finished the workbook lessons and the quizzes, in which I got 100% on both tests!! :) So now both lessons are done. I'm only doing this until I find out how to make a chart on Blogger, (which I will in a period of time)

So to my real blog. Today was an interesting day. My throat hurts and I drank 3 liters of water. One of my worst fears are washrooms. I just hate public washrooms. So you can imagine what a dilema that was when I've got 3 liters of water in my system. Why am I putting myself through this? First of all, it's just good to drink lots of water, and second, my throat hurting is usually the first signs that I'm going to be sick, which I dread. Not only is it now dangerous to get sick because of the H1N1 virus, but I just don't want to miss class. It's the first month of school, and this is high school, you'll miss a lot more information from a lot more teachers. I can't afford to be sick. So, even if it means public washrooms, I'm going to at least hold on until Winter Vacation, then I can relax a little. But lets hope I don't get sick at all this year. Hey!! That's a goal!

I don't understand

I don't get how to do The premier Go instructions. Like I can't find a way to make a chart with blogger, or I don't know where the extentions are, that kind of stuff. I'm so confused!!!(Nevermind, I found the extensions)

I feel like day 1 is when I'm mentally tired, and day 2 is when I'm physically tired. All in all, I feel like I'm always tired.

Quote of the day:
"I don't know anything about music. In my line you don't have to." Elvis Presley

Not true, Elvis Presley is one of the most fantastic artists of all time!!!
